While you're at it, could you make dreambodies able to enter whirlpools?

Yes, dreambodies will be able to ENTER anything.
Shamarah2005-05-27 00:00:21
Yay Estarra!
Elryn2005-05-27 00:04:39
Thankyou so much for your quick response!
One more thing... Could dreamweavers ENTER if the entering target is at any elevation? We do have a couple of severe limitations there.

Ok, dreamweaving has been updated. Those in dreambody can ENTER anything that needs to be ENTERed.

Archways solve nothing, and make many problems worse.
Case in point. It is easier to bash guards, and then flee, you cannot block or icewall the archway.
You cannot glance or squint outside to see if anyone is waiting to kill you on the other side.
It is more difficult run back to your own territory.
There are more problems, but I don't have the time to list them all. What does it solve exactly?

Do permissions on Manses restrict dreambodies? If not, shouldn't they?

Manses are different than exits that you need to ENTER. Anything that starts with ENTER, you can do (portals is PORTAL ENTER which is not covered).

I think it was because people were whining about a good tactic you guys though up...a knight going in and I guess blocking the exit further into hte area and repeatedly razing the target while a group of people with cudgels sat outside blasting in.

That was me actually. Blocking, then wisping and nullifying. Not my fault they were sitting without guards, in direct line of sight, with no monoliths. Though the archway creates more problems then it solves. I could kill the 18 guards solo at the entrance to Glomdoring just by walking in and out of the unblockable entrance.
Though, the whole point was null, since the group that was cudgeling could have just followed me in and killed them directly. There were no more guards at that point.

I dont like the change either, and think Visaeris should stop complaining about meaningless stuff.

Agreed.
I hope this change can be undone.

I don't complain about meaningless stuff or large stuff. I have very specific positions and beliefs when it comes to what's "right", and I don't hesitate to make my position known, regardless of the size of the issue.
I am not entirely satisfied with the solution, I confess. The archways will add more problems. However, the fact that there was a change at all means they are keeping a close eye on the proceedings and attempting to keep things reasonably sane. Hence I appreciate the effort.
If this simply causes more problems, it's possible to change again. I hope.
I would've preferred the defences simply blocking attacks into the enemy territories, but beggers can't be choosers.
Side note: Anyone else find it amusing that, when I disagree with a change, I'm ungrateful, but when I act appreciative I screwed things up?
Ethelon2005-05-27 01:03:08
I aswell hope this is changed back soon.

There's a simple thing everyone has. It's called invoke circle or evoke pentagram. Use it next time. You shouldn't stand around leaving yourself vulnerable.

In this instance you are acting appreciative over something you screwed up.

Correct. I argued for *a* change. I'm not really fond of this myself, but it shows they're looking to change things.

I still can't believe They listened to your whining. You basically want to be able to sit one room away from a group that outnumbers you probably 5-1, who all hate you, on a plane without Avenger protection, and expect not to be touched. If it was one person cudgelling, you'd be fine. If it was 5-5, the person going in to raze would probably die, or be wisped away. But you can't seem to see your own idiocy. *mutter*
