I'm having problems, my brother wants to play and be in the same city as me, but I'm not sure what races can draw from which nexus' could someone help me out? I read the descriptions but they don't say.
So if somebody could list all the races out with which cities they can draw from I'd be grateful. On a more realistic note: if you could just tell me if the Aslaran, or whatever the cat dudes are clled, can draw from Magnagora I'd be obliged.
Thanks for reading and cheers!

The nexus' aren't restricted to one race. Go crazy .
Athana2005-05-28 01:11:42
Any race except for Merian, Elfen, and Faeling can draw from Magnagora's nexus.
Shiri2005-05-28 01:12:02
All of them can draw from all Nexi, bar Viscanti in Celest and Serenwilde, and Elfen and Merian (and Faeling) in Magnagora.

Oh yeah forgot about the whole political thing . Woops!

Thank you for the quick replys.
I have another question now: how is reincarnation handled ingame? I mean is it an OOC thing or is it considered a an IC thing? I'm just wondering if I can do it after my character has been around for awhile? Are there any penalties?
Thanks, cheers!

A reincarnation is when you go to the Portal of Fate and do this thing where you tell the Fates you have the wrong body and ask for a reincarnation as far as IC/OOC I believe. Everyone gets a free reincarnation so you can do it anytime. Don't think there are any penalities other than you're stuck with that race until you buy a dagger of reincarnation or a changeling cameo.

Thank you, Vix.

Actually, only Merian and Elfen are permanently banned from the Megalith in Magnagora. Faelings are not subject to this ban.
Asarnil2005-05-28 07:15:34
Tell them to go dwarf, tanky and haven't really got any drawbacks.

I agree, weird. Faelings are descended from the Fae, which some of them were created by Lisaera, who betrayed Fain, the Patron of Magnagora. I would think Magnagora would not like them.
Nokraenom2005-05-28 07:32:07
I'm unaware of any reference to Lisaera creating the Fae, particularly as she is an Awakener and not a Creator Goddess. At any rate, HELP FAIN perhaps will explain a bit that Faelings are not among the races Fain hates most. True, he probably dislikes them, but if we were to ban all races Fain dislikes from the Megalith, we'd probably only have Viscanti, Taurian and Orclach drawing power.
Unknown2005-05-28 07:35:01
True, but it might have something to do with the Glomdoring being tainted and having tainted Fae. Maybe they'll accept them so long as they aren't pretty tree huggers, just ugly dead tree huggers?

Dang it! You friggin ninja'ed me Nokraenom! So much for my clean record of never having it happen to me.
EDit: Grrrr... And now I just ruined my rep as a non spamer! The sky is falling.

Well, that all makes sense. Except for the bit about Awakeners and Creators. As an Awakener, they drew the souls that had the touch of Dynara and helped them grow. They created the Great Spirits, and thusly the Fae. Creators are more physical while the Awakeners are ethereal.

Well, Glomdoring is -trying- to not have the help from Magnagora, so there will be tension there. And please note, I said -TRYING-.

Well, I have more of a connection to faelings than any other God, partly because of what was stated and partly because they're descended from My sister Elfenehoala. However, I think a city basing their judgements on a race because of a distant connection to a God who several millennia ago had a lover's tiff with their current patron is stretching reasonings a bit.

What's Fain's objection to Elfen and Merian if it's more than that, then, out of curiosity?
Lisaera2005-05-28 10:25:00
I believe that's to do with them being the ruling races of Serenwilde and New Celest.
Shiri2005-05-28 10:32:57
Oh, hrm. I guess the Faeling thing was long in planning, huh. :/
