... Furrikin are Ackleberry. Forest critters.
Shiri2005-06-03 04:45:40
Who the hell told you Furrikin were Gaudiguch?
Was it Shiro?
I bet it was Shiro.

I originally became faeling for RP reasons, nothing more. I wanted to be small (being fairly short IRL) and it was a toss-up between faeling and furrikin. I picked faeling in the end because it was easier for me to describe.

What if Tae'dae end up being Ackleberry's specialty?

I don't think they will.
1) They're not so much given to be an "all-rounder" race like Furrikin are (they're VERY biased towards being warriors, whereas Furrikin have relatively even stats all around, i.e DEX/INT/+bal are about average, see?) So Furrikin have more room to specialise, whereas a Tae'Dae mage is...a thick idea, frankly.
2) They're not given to be leaders, because they're stupid. (Just look at Daganev's character. Or, uh, Lomdomian's.)
3) There was another reason, but I forgot it.

I beg to differ.
I know of a Tae'Dae who'd be a great leader.

Pfft. He's up for Paladin GM or something one day though. He couldn't leave for Ackleberry! Alright, MOST of them are stupid.
Suhnaye2005-06-05 03:42:29
Its pretty much taken for granted now that Furrikin will be the Ackleberry's primary race, mainly due to its proximity to Estelbar, and because Furrikin are more prone to live togeather in a commune than Tae'dae, who are more the loner types...
Erion2005-06-05 04:24:36
Honestly, I want to see things mixed up. Furrikin specialize off River (or was it Lake?) totem, and Tae'dae specializing off Bear totem.
Furrikin specialize in Lakedancers, Tae'dae specialize in the Bearclaw! And then it's both in the Berryguard!

BERRYGUARD? Oh well, at least I wouldn't be in it. Riverdancers, wtf.
And Lake and River are the same.
Erion2005-06-05 04:50:51
Waterdancers are so boring, though.
What would be a good name for 'em? XD

Shiri2005-06-05 04:53:56
No, Lakedancers is a fair name. Just not Riverdancers, ugh.
And the Warriors could be Shoreguard or something, but that sounds too much like lifeguards. :/

meh.. no riverdancers.. anything but that. god that's a sucky name.
Maybe they can just come up with totally new names..

Precisely my point?

yeah.. I think if we had riverdancers, it'd just be a bunch of idiots wanting to do little jigs and stuff. At least that's what it reminds me of...
Athalas2005-06-05 05:23:29
Riverdancers... Berryguard... I love those ideas!
Suhnaye2005-06-05 10:03:58
*coughs* The names are still a work in progress... But I don't think they'll be riverdancers, or berryguard... Bearclaw might work though

The name of the Coven is 'Lakewood' according to the histories, but I have no idea what you would call people from Lakewood - Lakewoodies? Lakers? But yeah, I hope whomever names the guilds of Ackleberry has SOME degree of creativity. I sob every time I hear the cop-outs that are 'Shadowdancers' and 'Ebonguard' Blacktalon was interesting and unique though, and actually makes a good guild name.
Shiri2005-06-05 10:44:28
Ebonguard is NOT a cop-out. Shadowdancer is, I'll admit.
