Taurians should get the gore ability. It would be great. And make sense.

Also there is a bug or change affecting the skill now, where we cant use it if we arent a Lich.

Pilot error. When you're not a lich you have to DARKCHANT it, not BREATHE it. Check your AB files.

I think he's done it enough times to know that.
Gwylifar2005-06-03 13:57:21
You'd think.

Does a failed gore do damage, and if so, how much? And how much power does it take?
Assuming it does more than people heal, and takes 5 or less power, if you fail it one time you could always try it again.
EDIT: Ok, so it takes two power How much damage does a failed gore do, is it more/faster than some weapon/race combinations?

It's pathetic damage. I take as much damage from Gore from Malicia with 18 strength as her swords, without the possibilities of limb afflictions, poisons, or wounding, and of course no power cost. It's not spectacular, just something to waste powers on if the person has a lot to spare.
Unknown2005-06-03 17:22:12
Still, 25% may only be 500 on some people, but on lots of serious fighters it's closer to 1k, which you won't do with your swords. I would certainly use it.
Icarus2005-06-03 17:38:03
It does around 500 - 800 damage, not 25%.
It kills the opponent instantly if he/she has less than 25% health.

Shh, stop giving away the crappy secrets of our skills!
Sylphas2005-06-03 17:57:43
On a Hartstone, it might have some use. Screwing around last night, my Gore/Headbutt do about 900 damage to Jairdan. His hits for about 700, with Faeling str. I'm tempted to headbutt people to death, since it hits harder than my cudgel.
Alger2005-06-04 00:21:33
the thing about cudgel is the bleeding, well thats what I would play with.
and gwylifar no it really doesnt work.
and jello average damage i did was 800+ for gore, impale on 50% health of the opponent, instakill on 25% health of the opponent.

It worked when I tested it on the test server, exactly as the AB files said it should.
Alger2005-06-04 13:27:17
Well I'm not sure if its fixed or not but i'm deffintely sure both forms didnt work before. You sure you were a non-lich when you tried it? Did you ever lich before trying to bring out contagion as a non-lich?
Gwylifar2005-06-04 19:22:24
The test was simple. BREATHE CONTAGION -- you have to be a lich to do that. DARKCHANT CONTAGION -- worked. Go into another room, lich. BREATHE CONTAGION -- worked. If you can find a sequence that reproduces it not working, BUG it with the sequence included.
Alger2005-06-04 22:43:10
Of course we would Gwylifar. I was looking at how our tests could be different. They were simple questions.
