I'm looking for a -FREE- client that's actually worth something. Anyone know of any?
Manjanaia2005-06-05 18:23:58
MUSHclients free isn't it? As is Ethelon's system.

I don't think MUSHclient is free... I went to look at it and I think you have to pay...

Nope, it's free.

It is indeed free. I think you have to pay to register it. Not sure what good registering does though.

You don't get an annyoing opening screen that's there for like 3 minutes.

MUSHclient is not free. You can get away with using it without paying for it, and you can also get away with stealing the stuff in front of the grocery store if you sneak up in the middle of the night, but neither of them is free.

MUSHClient is indeed shareware, pay if you use it routinely. dry.gif

As far as the truly free clients, ALClient is my personal favorite. It's especially well suited to semi-manual systems, with very fast triggers and hotkeys (and very slow variable processing).

MudMaster 2000 isn't the greatest client, but for free it's not horrible. I used it a few years ago, and it's matured a bit more since then.

I prefer MUSHclient myself, but I've also registered it. It's not free in the sense that many people would like to think. Nick's a good guy, too, and answers many questions on the forums himself.

Go Mushclient, it's the best Free client out there, only gotta put up with a witing screen, which is about 12 seconds, not three minutes.

I tend to exaggerate a bit. happy.gif

Ok i'm using zMUD 7.05 and it is free. Or at least Trial.
So i just reinstal it evry 30 days and i'm happy smile.gif

Re-installing zMUD 7.05 every 30 days doesn't (or shouldn't) work. The eLicense protection is much harder to foil than that. If you re-install the entire OS and THEN zMUD, it'll work, of course.

Thank you, everyone.
