They all have their uses. Right there it saved Thorgal's life, and it isn't the first time. Also, I'd love to have a pet that aeons - that really has potential. Not sure about Shuck, I've hardly fought Ethelon, but I'm sure it has its own advantages.

Oh, and...

A look of pain crosses Nyla's face as the Handmaiden of Shakiniel carves him
up.

-32% chance of attack #1.

Attacks 1-3 for my handmaiden are mana drain, paralysis and blackout. She hardly ever does the damage attack.

Attacks for the Grim:

You are joking right? laugh.gif That'd be funny if true.

Patchou does all 4 in equal amounts.

25% Aeon
25% Brownie equivalent balance steal
25% Mana drain
25% ~75 bleeding
Ethelon2005-06-05 11:35:15
the Grim Horror is actually pretty good....I'd trade blacklung though for blackout in a heartbeat...would make it easier to get hexes off and to catch them in traps
Thorgal2005-06-05 11:35:21
It is true...

Suggestion to balance Grim to Handmaiden:

Chill becomes deepfreeze (only on the target, not the whole room), fear becomes terror.

Well, if it's true, it's a good thing. Who wants bleeding? I wish Patchou's bleeding was only a 4% chance. sad.gif

And the thing about the Nil Grim Horror only chilling, and not actually giving the frozen affliction, that irritates me. The Crone does the same thing, gives Chill, but if they are already chilled, it won't freeze them sad.gif. Furthermore, when the Crone maxes out on the afflictions it is able to give, it simply stops attacking.

Ack, no, you don't UPGRADE the 33% chance passive blackout ent, you DOWNGRADE the ridiculous handmaiden! angry.gif
Ethelon2005-06-05 11:41:07
I agree...give blacklung to the Handmaiden and Amaru would cry...it sucks that badly.
Don't forget our Slaugh usually gives blacklung...it seems to have a more limited selection of afflictions than the Crone also.

Better afflictions though. I sure as hell would rather be giving blacklung and dysentery than claustrophobia and shyness. And, uh, slickness, given that we don't have skin afflictions. (I guess we do with hexes, but I wouldn't want to be relying on a crone to give slickness at just the right time for me to throw another 5 hexes off. It's not like we can succor.)

No idea how you got champion.

Slaugh gives: Worms, Dysentry, Rigormortis, and Pox.

EDIT: Okay, watch the personal attacks. ~Shiri~

I got Champion because I knew how to do something OTHER than jump bashers on Astral...and you even died half the time doing that. Don't ever try to make yourself seem better than me when it comes to fighting kiddo.

EDIT: Watch the personal attacks, again. And unless you just edited -really- fast so you missed it, don't just re-edit and put back in what I removed. dry.gif

EDIT: Learn to edit correctly please then, because you made the first responce look pointless, good job. - Ethelon

Perhaps put the Grim and Patchou's bleeding up to the level of redcaps. They do what, 200 bleeding per hit? Something obscene like that.

A: True, true. You know how to bash on Astral as well.

B: You die to teams.

C: I hardly have to anymore. You do all the seeming for me with things like not even knowing what your skills do.
