Thorgal was a Celestian (I think a Celestine, even) before anything, Marcalo. Then he went nihilist, and then he went Ur'Guard. Then returned to Nihilists.

Nah, I was an ur'guard as newbie, went paladin after a few days, went serenguard, then ur'guard, then nihilist.

Test results after speed changes:

My tarot became 0.6 seconds slower, and my equilibrium became 0.7 seconds slower. The speed gain from lvl1 faster equilibrium is about 0.3 second now.

What a joke. What the heck is the point of racial speed and eq bonus anymore.

Note that it's a percentage of your total time. Thus a spell that takes 10 seconds will have more of a speed gain than a spell that takes 3 seconds. So .7 seconds is not a proper measurement except in the context of the speed without the racial bonuses. Also, the balance and equilibrium changes were the same, so the .1 difference is likely due to network lag and client-side rounding.

In an intial test between me and Ixion. Me being the Shadowlord and Ixion being the Dracnari.

I took him from full limb to 0 in 26 swings taking a total of 65.416
and him 11 hits taking a total of 41.943

What on earth is the point in having lvl1 or lvl2 speed advantages now? A lvl2 is barely noticable and a lvl1 could just as well not exist at all.

Should have just removed lvl3 balances instead..

I agree, if it's not noticeable for spells without long durations, what is the point of giving races those level 1 bonuses. Might as well just take them out since they don't mean anything.

Strength has a much greater factor than Dexterity though. Also, what are the precisions on your and his weapons?

What spell has a 10 second recovery, that anyone routinely uses?

I was using rapiers one with 194 precision and one with 184, pre assumably the higher end of precision weapons since rapiers were the higher end to-hit weapons, while Ixion obviously uses broads.

Your measurements must be off. For a level 2 balance advantage doing a 3 second tarot fling, it should have lost only 0.18 seconds. A level 2 balance advantage saved .6 seconds before the change, thus if you lost .6 seconds then the racial advantage would be giving you exactly 0 seconds.

I flung tarot cards at 2.5 seconds before the change, I'm flinging at 3+ seconds now.

Where you hitting each other, or the same person? Have to make sure you eliminate all factors possible to get accurate results.

Hopefully I can kill Ceres now then Haja. That said, she did have a highfavor, but she also had no fae and no armor.

And he also has racial advantages that can effect your numbers. If you want a real test, both of you need to hit on the same person, so you are working against the same thing.

And hit with the same weapons.

what racial advantages would affect this? None that I can see..
