Shiri, Furrikin got a boost.
Desdemona2005-06-06 01:20:35

I can see a lot of Warriors swapping races now. Not really any different choices for Mages/Wiccans. Aslarans now make even better Guardians with Tarot. An EQ bonus is indeed nice. Rounds them out so they can do more then just toss tarot quickly.
Edit: Hey Shiri, look at Furrikin.

What would warriors switch to besides possibly aslaran? Everything else, i.e krokani and orclach, have too low of an int.
Krokani warrior spar:
Focus mind
say Damn low mana
pray for salvation

DAMN. Best change this game has seen. I swear. Awesome. I take 163 damage from Vix's moonburst, and have the eq bonus I always wanted. Couldn't be happier with the way my race changed. Now I'm even with everyone else.
Ixion2005-06-06 01:25:59
Lobo upgrades are simply sick. Ridiculous.
Unknown2005-06-06 01:27:18
When the announce comes in listing all the changes can someone pelase post it for us poor folk who are at work?

Loboshi scare me greatly right now. Generally speaking though, these changes are awesome so far.
Desdemona2005-06-06 01:29:06
OMG, level 3 regen for loboshigaru. Maybe it's just me, but that seems very good.
Edit: I'd swipe back Loboshigaru to level 2 regen, and 16 cont. But 16 cont and level 3 regen is a bit freaky to me.

Trill and Mugwump are all that's left. + Humans and Spec races
Sudoxe2005-06-06 01:30:50
I'm shaking with anticipation for human.
Unknown2005-06-06 01:30:55
oh god mugwump with level 3 eq
Erion2005-06-06 01:33:08
Igasho have resistance to everything but fire, and it's a lvl 1 suscept. lvl 2 blunt, cutting, magic, lvl 1 cold and lvl 1 poison. On top of + 1 herb balance, and lvl 1 health regen, I do believe Igasho will be more than capable of standing their own. 18 natural con (One more than originally), and 17 strength, will make them just pure nasty. They won't be that great for wounding, but they'll knock chunks out of your life like nobody's business. The 9 int may be crappy for surge, but with 18 NATURAL con, it'll be disgusting.
This said, I'm glad Furrikin got lvl 1/lvl 1. Lvl 3 resistance to magic will make them decent knights, or basicall anything, up against a cosmicfire, or nature curse. Har. Faster herb balance, cold resistance.
Orchlach are at lvl 1 slower equi, but the lvl 3 fire susc is still nasty. Especially against aquas. But the 15 con, 15 str, 11 dex. They might make for good warriors, although I just get the feeling Igasho have them beat, hands down. Tankier, stronger, -2 dex, but that's not that big.
Tae'dae boasting lvl 3 resists across the board, except from fire and magic, and having a weakness to magic, lvl 3, ouch. But, I don't think the plus one cutting/blunt, plus two cold/poison resist is THAT great. Especially compairing -3/-3 eq/bal to -1/-2 eq/bal. Less con (although only one point).
Meh. I'm seeing a lot of poison-resist, which just strikes me as wierd. And tae'dae's lvl 2 psychic resist. Where are the psychic attacks coming from?

I'm very happy with the level 3 eq for Mugwumps. They now outclass anything for Wicca, and probably druid.
Unknown2005-06-06 01:35:25
Ah, thank you, Mugwumps got a level 3 equilibrium bonus.
They needed it, considering they are as tanky as wet toilet paper, and have weaknesses to two of the most common and damaging elements. The offense had to make up for it. Especially compared to the upgrades some of the races got.

Level 1 regen isn't that good... At least I don't really notice a huge help when bashing... I have to have regeneration on to even notice. So, I'd probably wouldn't worry much about Igasho having level 1 regen. Hm, then again, Igasho do have more protection all over than Taurians, so they'd probably be able to make use of level 1 regen.
Erion2005-06-06 01:37:01
I'd like to see Merian get lvl 2 eq. They really do need it.
Unknown2005-06-06 01:37:06
Humans and Specialises all that's left
Erion2005-06-06 01:38:00
Regen works on a % base, right?
Sudoxe2005-06-06 01:38:45

they (tae'dae) had cold, cutting and blunt. Added 3 poison and 2 psychic, a point of str and con.
