Incorrect. It was because of both shadowlord faelings and tae'dae being used to judge opposite extremes, lik ethe bread of a sandwich.

Yum. Sandwiches.

Ooh, ooh. I just thought of one last possible change that would make use of one of their stronger stats; Charisma.
Though notoriously known for
being of small intellect, the typical tae'dae believes just the opposite,
considering him or herself to be uncommonly wise.
That kinda makes me think that they've got a pretty inflated ego so I was thinking...
o Have a level 2 resistance to ego damage.
Discuss. Personally, I think it would work really well with Tae'dae.
P.S. NECRO.
Nayl2005-06-11 12:12:17
But then again, I would agree with that.
And for... faeling to have a weakness based on size, they might be likable flying midget rastafarians on crack, but if your like 12893 times their size, their going to be intimidated.
Woot, more functions for size. (And vs mobiles, it depends on what style your using.)
Elryn2005-06-11 12:12:54
Ego damage being the damage you take when a denizen questions you? Fair enough.
Soll2005-06-11 12:15:21
And in debates. I just feel it should be harder for them to be knocked down in ego atall since they're so big-headed, IMO. From getting a bad hit in debating, opponent getting a good hit, and from questioning.

Guess Tae'dae really is the perfect race for Daganev then.
Nayl2005-06-11 12:49:59
Smooth.
And Subtle.
And Subtle.
Amaru2005-06-11 16:21:34
By that rule, Valek should get 10k ego.

This is just a thought I had, and I wasn't sure where else to put it. I also didn't read all 27 pages, so forgive me if this was stompped on before.
Regarding the softening of the equilibrium/balance gains: would it be possible to return them to their original speed if the attack was used against a mobile, but at the current speed against players?
From what I understand the main complaint was that mugwumps could web people and have them never writhe out successfully and faeling shadowlords have been attacked since the test server for knight changes.
However, if we had the original regain for NPCs it would make bashing easier. I also know that people bash to level 80 with 9 con, et cetera, but it would make my life a lot easier.
Just a thought.

Tae'dae need to be more tanky.
Racial resistances appear to do very little, as opposed to weaknesses which drastically increase the damage taken to the relevant type.

I find the opposite. I seem completely unable to be killed by magic if I have every def and regen available to me up, unless it's a mugwump with a knowledge blessing pounding moonburst as fast as possible I don't actually have to sip. My fire weakness on the other hand didn't have much effect. (Then again I only tested it on an Imperial Merian's blast. Not a steamblast.)
