Honestly, Dwarfs could have stayed the same. Now they may just be sub-standard, with a lot of upgrades for everyone else. Hell, not touching anything would be a downgrade.

Yep, Dwarves are now sub standard. The least tanky of the so called tanky races, with no positives, low strength low constitution when compared to the other tanky races, and the same balance and equilibrium penalties. I'll be much more tanky as say an Igasho then I ever was as a dwarf.

I hope the specialized races aren't upgraded by much. If they get boosted as much as everyone else we'll basically be back at square oneÂ

And doing no damage at all since you're a moondancer
Dwarves are faster, and less than half the size of Igasho, which should translate into greater physical tankiness after the knight changes go in.
Desdemona2005-06-06 01:57:17
I feel happy now that I can get 20 strength as a Taurian (thanks to bear, Enrage, and Flex).
Edit: Even when Enrage doesn't last much.

You do realize, the only purpose of dwarf was bashing guards. Now there is a better choice. Igasho.
Or the Loboshigaru... those are a bit crazy.
Unknown2005-06-06 01:58:46
Anyone know if mana draining skills count as psychic damage?
Unknown2005-06-06 02:00:02
Loboshigaru does look pretty nuts. Level 3 health all the time and 16 con?

Loboshi seem a bit nuts, yeah.
With regard to the dwarf though, I'm not really disappointed that they don't hit things as well as sasquatch the mountain giant now.
So... who wants to buy the POISON elemental runes?
Unknown2005-06-06 02:01:03
I guarantee they're not done..

All the new poison resistance nerfs geomancer staff pretty badly. I wonder who has the worst staff now, them or the druids?
Jadryga2005-06-06 02:02:27
I'm a very happy Loboshigaru cub.
Thank you, Estarra and whoever else worked on it!

Since Equilibrium matters more for influencing than Charisma does, why would anyone choose tae'dae over igasho? Its not like the RP is all that different.

It would be really silly to speculate about them being done for days, nevermind hours. That said, thanks for all the hard work Divine!
And Daganev:
Desdemona2005-06-06 02:03:35
Of course you should be happy. In fact, you should be experiencing bliss. Loboshigaru look more than incredible.

Well I meant more to people who weren't sure if they were going to touch specialised races/humans.
Ixion2005-06-06 02:04:48
So far everything is within some measure of reason except Lobos and maybe Mugwump lvl 3 eq.

well if loboshigaru are based on wolves (yay) they are probably trying to make it enticing to have more loboshigaru players for packs mayhaps? Though they don't give a groups skill like they did for Taurian.

Comparing the big races, I just see tae'dae being the worst off.
Erion2005-06-06 02:09:38
I agree, Daganev. Tae'dae got an upgrade, but not as big of a one as Igasho. BUT, the entire point of this was to bring non-specialized races up to a decent level. Tae'dae may very well specialize in Ackleberry.

I think you're underestimating our age old bonuses a little bit, and remember the lv 3 elixer boost? Against our counterpart speed fiends, the increased strength and even better con (with that sip) is going to be great. Also, you've a lot less to worry about with regard to kether on people sucking your life in dreamform I think.
And the "huh" was with regard to the RP of an Igasho and a Tae'dae being the same.
