Lobos need a nasty int hit. Let 'em have low int. They're pack animals. They live off primal instincts, not logical thought process.
Unknown2005-06-06 02:28:20
As far as lobos go, low mana is not much of a weakness when you don't have to drink health
Erion2005-06-06 02:29:23
No, but two amissios and they're at half mana. Sipping manas won't do much when someone kills 'em, instantly!

I RP that. The Tae'dae Furrikin thing. So, nyah.
131476
Yeah, me too. Some of it with him in fact.
Also, Tae'dae are affable, not loners, Igasho are the other way around, which is a huge attitude difference. Igasho are jovial and good natured, but I think the tendency to remain alone or with their own kind explains their charisma perhaps as it would regard most races. Their charisma doesn't even approach a Tae'dae's.
and you got it Fain

I already voted today, ha! The rest of you are posers in my shadow.

Lvl 3 magic susceptibility.... *sighs*
Everything in the game can be boosted to compensate for other things, really. Dex, Int, Str, Con, Cha, Size. Nothing's sacred.
And level 3 regen still means nuts if you can't cure right (not going to touch system buyers who suddenly become curing professors). Alger can still kill me with horrendous bleeding and stacked afflicts. 3 moonbursts at once will just about be the end of me. My willpower is lower by the thousands. We're tanky, but not immortal.
Well, if they really want, they can take away the fire resistance, and leave us the rest. We're furry, after all.

Faeling changes in progress.
Unknown2005-06-06 02:37:12
Lobo's magic is level 2 though Jad, not 3.
Desdemona2005-06-06 02:38:21
I dunno, since I'm a lame fighter I focus more on things like bashing. And for that sort of things, Loboshigarus seem to bw fantastic. But, ok... I'll be quiet now, being a lame fighter.
Unknown2005-06-06 02:38:25
so far, it looks like faeling dex is 18, con is 9, int is 15 base. I can't tell what the changes are until the helpfile is updated. Read post 8 (maelon's post) in this thread to see the update after I've compared.

Wow, you really meant major when you said major overhaul! The Trill have only gone up... but I dunno, I kinda liked being slightly behind par, made the experience more... interesting. I thought maybe we'd get just a few points adjusted. I'm still in shock, these are big changes! *swoon*
No exp penalty is very nice!! As well as +1 to a bunch of stats and lots of resistance. I shouldn't complain, something inside just feels weird. >.< But I'll get used to it (we still get specialisation when Hallifax comes out right? )
Thanks for your concern Divine and for your undying dedication! *goes to vote*
EDIT: Haven't thoroughly looked over those yet though... maybe they're still not that strong but a lot different than before.

merian helpfile updated, changes in post 8 going up.
Unknown2005-06-06 02:53:24
The trill upgrades aren't as good as they seem, since no one really uses cold or electric and dreamweavers have never been more than an annoyance. Which isn't to say that I'm not very pleased And who knows, maybe a wider array of damage types is scheduled.

We don't have to sip health? What nonsense. I have no idea what image of us you have in mind, but regen does NOT kick in every other second, as much as we'd love it to, only once per putre tick, so at least 8 seconds or more. If someone is hitting me for 1600(definitely possible for magic users, and possible for knights), they regain balance in 5 seconds or less, which means they can get about 3200 in before one regen kick. I regen 436 totally undeffed with a max SURGED health of 5242. So for every 3200 damage, I regen 436. This is with one person hitting me, mind you, and of course without the embellishments to healing that everyone else can get, mercy, health potions. If you hit us with paralysis, focus body, which is... 250(?) mana at one pop, saps my surged and therefore extremely depleted mana base, of which I have a grand total of 1250 surged at level 71, far, far, faster, so we have to sip mana, because the perfection is busy dealing with the mana drain from surge, and certain abilities can kill us at lower than half mana. 250/1250 is 20% of my mana. Sipping mana means of course, that we do not sip health.
Surge benefits us far less with our lower int, in fact, it leaves us extra vulnerable to non-knights mana-wise, whom we're already extra vulnerable to already, because of our lvl 2 magic susceptibility. Surged Aslarans have about as much health as we do, maybe even more now that they have an int upgrade. The only races that we beat in int are tae'dae and igasho, but they're even tankier than we are, albeit slower.

Ooer, +2 charisma for imperian merians, was that there before? With that, faster eq and laetitia, they must be the best influencers now.
The combat type merians look pretty burly too.

Viscanti resistant to physical damage... so much for the putrefaction downgrade
Though being a non-viscanti necromancer must be a drag.
