Well, the thing is... throwing the knight changes in that were tested on a MUCH different set of races might not be that wise. It may be wiser to wait and get a little more feedback on it with new changes before making things live. I'm a bit sceptical about a few of the races as knights.

The Knight changes would be very bad to put in right now... At least for some of us
Str being hte primary driver for wounds, plus a lil dex.. Races like Elfen Lord and Krokani and such are in a win/win position..
Have to see how they play out, but I really hope we get the testing server back before they go live.

With the knight changes as they stand, they'll probably be the most popular knight race.
The new knight stuff was based around the idea of a knight having above average strength or above average dex.. Not both

Regeneration is small and not that amazing, the faster herb balance...is quite good and well worth it. Then you factor in things like Strength, Bear, Food, Surge, Etc. They are quite rough. They will hit hard too, with no balance penalties.

Fire and Electric susceptable, and no. The 16 Dex is awesome, Elfen are smallers and thus more able to dodge. I'd rather have 2 higher dex with changes that 1 higher strength with changes, easily. They are actually both pretty strong..
Looking at the combination of Dexterity and Strength.. Elfen have the most, at 31, then Merian with 30. Then come Faeling and Viscanti both with a total of 28. I just hope the 18 dexterity on my faeling end up meaning something..

edit: Look at Viscanti's stats, compare to the other speciallization races. Only Merians come close to them, and Viscanti still beat Merian with the resistance to cutting, blunt and so on

And considerably less intel. Lower surges, and less total on the damage stats. A bit bigger, which is horrible for a knight really.. Not saying they are horrible and aren't viable knights, but they are by far not the best.

The thing with elemental resistances, is fire is much more common than say cold and electricity. Does anyone in the game besides Murphy currently use electricity? Not that I can think of. When I was a mage i would cast blast on merians to good effect however.

Daevos, Ixion, Icarus, and Sierus are some knights that have lightning runes. Fire is common because of Blast, but only Aquamancers have heat staff. Most Geomancers use their staff over blast anyway.
