It's possible that the amount of bonus given by level 3 speed will be decreased more than the bonus of level 2 speed is. After all, the difference between level 3 and level 2 is more than the difference between level 2 and level 1.

That said, I still think anything past level 2 faster eq is pretty ridiculous and I don't see how it could be balanced for amissio/lash without making it too weak for races without an eq bonus.

Like I said in the other thread, if the code is changed to balance a lvl3 speed (dis)advantage, a lvl2 advantage will give less than a second increase, and a lvl1 advantage will be unnoticable.

Yeah, I was right, after testing the speed changes, equilibrium speed for lvl1 advantage is about 0.3 second for me now, and my tarot became almost a whole second slower.

Assuming I lose half a second, that's two herb balances per sling. What's the point of runes again, if you can't actually afflict with them?

If anything, they should just put Mugwumps back to level 2 speed, but drop their huge penalties, increase their constitution, etc.

Ok, why the hell did they have to "soften" racial speeds? I would have much preferred if they just put Mugwumps back to level 2 recovery. It's retarded. I now have a level 3 bonus that's just like my previous level 2, and Mugwumps got nothing else, are still the least tanky race in Lusternia, with their huge penalties.

I still noticed a -huge- difference in eq times with lightning and without. I don't think the lvl 1 bonuses will be worthless at all.

Elryn, I'm thinking that they only changed racial bonuses affecting eq and balance, that may be why facepaints aren't affected at all. If you had a skill that used balance, you can test for yourself to see if your balance has changed or not.

I think Roark already pointed out that level 1 bonuses are almost exactly the same on the racial thread, citing centiseconds and the like.
