If you try to cross the street at a crosswalk but the little green man isn't up, your not given a ticket for crossing the street, your given a ticket for breaking a law and crossing at the wrong time.
Its the exact same situation here, except we don't give tickets.

Try and use examples which will make sense to me or Elaria, because where we are, we have the right to cross a street.
Daganev2005-06-07 19:00:47
Well its rare that anyone actually gets introuble for jay-walking, I have a hard time believing you don't have that law
Or do you not have any Red hands and Green hands/men telling you when its ok to cross?

Amaru2005-06-07 19:03:28
Yeah we have them, but 'jay-walking' isn't banned. The crossing points are there to force traffic to stop on busy roads, or for safety so kids can cross. They're optional.
Xavius2005-06-07 19:04:51
It's a little white man and an orange hand. And it's not illegal to cross when it's the hand. It's just a warning that you might get hit. Now, if you run to the diagonally-opposite corner in an intersection that actually gets traffic, THAT'S what'll get you the ticket.

Nice pointless topic redirection Daganev. If the idea is to get people so stooped in idiocy that they forget the original point, you may be close to succeeding. How about you stop abusing your power in Glom already? It's somewhat pointless kicking the only person who will make the forst into something GOOD.
Daganev2005-06-07 19:15:43
How is it pointless redirection. I'm sorry you not able to see past the simple situation. Its not about the election its about him breaking his condition for joining the guild.
Unknown2005-06-07 19:16:59
Or about you changing the condition to suit yourself and to boot him for your own reasons
Daganev2005-06-07 19:33:24
No condition was changed.
Unknown2005-06-07 19:35:11
It's possible the change to the ostracize code removed the blocks on it?
That said, Glomdoring is very lame, but we all knew that already.

This is the first recorded instance of it here as far as I am aware of, and I thought it was blocked here automatically like it has been on the other IRE muds

If that's true, it was blocked after Xandor on Achaea kicked me out of the Dawnstriders for contesting him... *goes to read the rest of the thread*
Marcalo2005-06-07 21:44:16
i think its pretty bogus how that went down, ya'll should have just gotten everyone to vote against him rather then do somthing this weak, we all knew glom was crap but ya'll just keep proving it over and over again.
Jack2005-06-07 21:56:22
Owch.
You should have tried to turn public opinion against him so he lost the election, and kicked him after it was over, if what you're saying is true. Now, it just looks like you were scared of him getting power, and you're gonna have a good few people saying "Wtf?!", maybe even leaving.

Ceres was kicked multiple times by a useless champion from the Aquamancers because she was contesting. In that case though, the guild wanted her in and they had to eventually remove the champion by force to allow her to contest (not that she stayed long, but that's another matter )
132731
I bolded everything true in that statement for ya, but yeah, it isn't the first time that a person was booted for contesting. It was a pain in the butt, but it was a big spike in the guild activity. Dumb things like that seem to increase activity, so who knows. The drama could actually be good for Glomdoring
Ethelon2005-06-08 00:51:41
Why does everyone ignore the fact he was going to be kicked BEFORE the elections, but it was never handled because Chade was not around to deal with it?

Because he wasnt and no one has said so in IG.

Um...
Maybe because the people that are saying that look an awful lot like they're trying to cover it up.
That, and it's probably a lie.
Ethelon2005-06-08 01:57:07
Etanru, honestly, what reason do I have to lie to anyone here? I don't care what people think of me here because it has nothing to do with my RP. Seems like you have a problem telling the difference between OOC and IC if you go so far as thinking such.
Unknown2005-06-08 02:01:08
Well, you might be lying because you don't care if people think of you as a liar, it has nothing to do with your arh pee.

This is the first recorded instance of it here as far as I am aware of, and I thought it was blocked here automatically like it has been on the other IRE muds, but what is the reasoning behind allowing mortals to kick fellow org members out whilst they are contesting for a position in an organisation?
132491
I wasn't there at the time, but I swear I heard about it happening to the Warlock GM at some point. He was Divinely-reinstated.
Veonira2005-06-08 05:35:17
Actually, Karrah outguilded Roul during an election when Roul contested Llexyn for Champion.
