Why does everyone ignore the fact he was going to be kicked BEFORE the elections, but it was never handled because Chade was not around to deal with it?
132997
Because it doesn't matter one bit?
He got booted during the elections, which cannot be justified by any reason at all, it's just cowardice. Should have waited till after the election, if he would have lost, you could have booted him then.
Right now Glomdoring is what you call, a cesspool of corruption. Where people that didn't get what they wanted in other places before, get to live themself out to their heart's content... instead of just working together for the damn commune.

I think it doesn't make sense to claim that someone shouldn't be kicked out because he's contesting.
So, does that mean I can contest for Trademaster or whatever other office and then go break laws as I please and insult my superiors, kill my commune mates and drain the nexus down to 0 power because hey, I'm contesting, if you kick me out it's opression and obviously you're just scared of me winning mate!
Or in other words, if someone ran for US president, would you honestly want the police to not arrest him if he did something that warrants it?
Think about it from that perspective from a moment?
Visaeris knew what he was doing. He was given fair chances and warning not piss on those parts of the commune he didn't like, he ignored it, he's gone. the end.

Could we please stop making such statements? I dunno but feel free to point out where Lomdomian is corrupt and power hungry and brownosing his way into an office he couldn't have had in the Serenwilde? And I do do what I can to do my part for the commune.
I honestly care little for recognition but if people keep talking crap like this it does get on my nerves.

are you freaking retarded? Reasons like that is why I said that the Patron should still be able to, for emergency situations like that. Try to actually read the thread before you blow your impotent load all over the keyboard in some random semblence of an actual post.

You're just ignorant. Hell, I hop on an alt once every few days for an hour tops. And *I* knew they've been trying to get rid of him for a while.
Ethelon2005-06-08 14:04:47
I joined Glomdoring because of situations and RP. The positions I hold here I could have had in Serenwilde or Celest, I turned them down and left them. Of all things, from being in both Celest and Serenwilde, the RP is far more interesting and fun in Glomdoring so far, though I'm sure it will die down eventually like it did in Celest and Serenwilde.

Aww don't be bitter cause you got the toss too Erion, you were so certain your brownnosing would pay off.
Erion2005-06-08 15:38:58
I'm not upset. I'm still there, and it's given me the opportunity to do a wonderful RP with Erion, that we'll all see somewhat soon, once planning is done.
I grew way too attached to him. Time to move on. Kargnel's doing fairly well, and has a bit more self-control.

And Erion doesn't brownnose to anyone. Except to Viravain, when it was protecting Rowena.
And even then, I'd knew by then I wouldn't get crap for power, and it was just the RP. I always said I'd stop playing Erion after Glom came out. So, the time came.
Terenas2005-06-08 15:41:27
Seeing as I'm an outsider and has no idea how much people hated or loved Visaeris in Glomdoring. I'm just curious as to whether there was an agreement between Visaeris and Daganev and what Syrienne said about him in the earlier post was true or not. I wouldn't consider trusting the position of Marshall in the hands of someone who can't even keep a promise to a fellow guildmate, the GM in fact, or backstabbed someone who had supported him in the past. Glomdoring or not, that's just a bad way to get into powers.
Erion2005-06-08 15:46:28
It was. And, as Nyla said, the entire Blacktalon hated him - he'd basically called their demesnes "tactically inferior". Visaeris has been grappling for the position for a LONG time. And it's obvious he's screwed people over time and again for the sole purpouse of getting it. He'll deny it, though. But Visaeris doesn't have morals. He'd screw people who trusted him if he thought it would get a certain divine to give him a position of power. Honestly, I'm glad that went to hell. Otherwise, Vis would be GM of the BT.'

They did try to turn public opinion against Visaeris, and it was obvious they failed, so they kicked him.
Glomdoring is destined to be like new Celest. Though, new Celest will probably always be able to pwn them in every aspect.

No one tried to turn public opinion against him. Get over it. He flipped up one too many times. And he paid the price.

You sure you aren't describing yourself there?
Syrienne2005-06-08 16:12:10
I can tell you all of that is true Terenas, which is reason enough to kick him out but he has many many many more offenses. And like I said fact is Visaeris only lasted this long because of me, because I regarded him previously as a friend and tried my best to give him the chance to turn around his attitude.. you know me Terenas I'm not a dishonest person, no reason to mislead about it, but in the end he stabbed me in the back just like he would any common idiot for my attempts at helping him out. It had nothing to do with preventing his ascension to Marshal at all, because he still wouldnt have won.
Also it should be noted, cause I'm not sure if it has been, Daganev asked Visaeris publicly why he was breaking this promise. Visaeris admitted freely he had made such a promise but declared it his 'duty' to continue to run in the election because Glomdoring needed him. Sorry but that self martyrdom crap just doesn't fly.. he made a promise to people he broke it and he got punished. Good Marshal. Bad Marshal. Doesn't really matter. You make a promise not to do something and you do it anyways something is going to happen.
