Are you wearing the frogge?
Here is a good picture of a frogge.
Richter: it requires, but does not consume, arm balance, to draw and sheathe. So sheathe/draw will be something you can do with one arm while your other arm is doing something, which the routine you described can't do. Whether that's useful or not is up to you.
Edit: not only did I get ninjaed, Ixion even used the same picture.

toadcurse is overpowered
Ashteru2005-06-08 19:12:36
Looks like you could put a cudgel or a sickle into a real frogge too.
Too bad it doesn't work in game. That would look cool...

er, yes, I am wearing the frogge.
I just made a scabbard and it seems to work fine.
Oh and, thanks to whoever fixed crafting!

So, good for RP, useless for combat, based on what I was saying?
Manjanaia2005-06-08 19:26:09
IDEA!
A move in knighthood that allows you to draw a weapon from its scabbard/frogge and get one instant swipe in with it. So if you have a weapon knocked out of your hand, you can whip a spare broadsword out of it's scabbard and strike them with it.

Amakakeru ryu no hirameki... Yes.

Ok... have not read what anyone posted but does the new Sheathe thing make Shieldstun attacks work easier or do I still have to wait for my second balance to rewield my extra flail?
Erion2005-06-08 20:41:17
Err, basically. You sheath/unseath ON balance, but don't use.
Any balance involved in wielding/unwielding a shield, still there. No balance for sheath/unsheath the weapon.

Looks like there's some bugs with frogges and scabbards.
I still can't sheathe my wielded morningstar in my worn frogge, it just sheathed into my scabbard though.

Ok, so you can sheathe your weapon, then wield your shield, and Strike in the same motion as before, but now when you get balance back on your Shieldstrike arm, you can unwield your shield and wield your weapon.
Before the problem was that shieldstrike and attacking had different balance times, and you could not unwield or wield while EITHER arm was off balance.
So this fixes that yes?
And sorry for giving out tactics so publicly, my guild is devoid of people who know these things
Terenas2005-06-08 22:29:38
I think you people are nuts.
Gwylifar2005-06-08 23:37:57
I have another idea for how this can be useful that I'm not going to give away publicly, for once.
Gorokan2005-06-09 01:08:18
I had been wondering about scabbards in Lusternia. Basic but good for RP. I'm looking forward to some nice new designs.
And a little TYPO(s) I spotted as well:
ab forging scabbards
Syntax: CRAFT SCABBARD
For specific designs, see FORGING SCABBARD and FORGING SCABBARD.
It should be plural, SCABBARDS.

So, to clearify this... has anyone been able to use frogges so far?
I just crafted 10 of my new design and they don't work either, they simply don't seem to get recognized. I always get told that I don't wear any empty scabbards.
And yes I'm doing the right syntax and am wielding and all of that. They're bugged as far as I can tell. Someone please fix that?

yeah, apparently the Lusternia game code has no idea what a frogge is either and couldn't find it on google.
