2x !!! Ouch.
Erion2005-06-09 20:48:14
But there's no kings to the south. Rob and joffrey are both dead.
Fain2005-06-09 20:48:50
Yes Lord Frey put the ownage on Robb (I never liked Robb anyway)
Erion2005-06-09 20:49:23
I actually felt sorry for the wolf more than the boy.
Fain2005-06-09 20:49:43
Daevos and Davos? (the onion knight)
Connection anyone?
Connection anyone?
Erion2005-06-09 20:50:07
Ouch.

The reason for him being plastered on extended items has nothing to do with the plot. It's because he (and Arya) seem to be the two most loved characters.

Right, and if they don't die I'll be dissapointed.
Fain2005-06-09 20:51:13
I think Davos is cool!
He is loyal and a pirate/smuggler, thats not easy to come by! Kinda like Han Solo!
Edit: He also has like one hand! Hand Solo!

Daevos2005-06-09 20:51:53

I feel sorry for him. My favourite line from the series is when Jon was talking to the smith at the Wall, and he says something along the lines of... Can't remember the younger Baraethon's name. Rhemly, something like that. "That Rhemly, he's like (EDIT) BRASS. He's pretty to look at, but not worth much. Stannis is iron; he'll break before he bends. Now, Robert, he was true steel."
Daganev2005-06-09 20:53:22
Doesn't house Tyrell have someone to be king? I'm so bad at retreiving details from my mind.
And which house is the dragon lady from?
Also, Although yes the litereal meaning was that Jon had to face stannis, I took it as forshadowing, and the king has to be in King's Landing to be the king.

Targarwyn, or something like that. Tyrell has Joffrey's younger brother Tomas. But he's not crowned yet.

Yeah Davos has some great lines, hes one of those shades of grey characters Martin does really well.

There's very few characters he DOESN'T do well.
Fain2005-06-09 20:55:15
So true!
Erion2005-06-09 20:56:06
Anyway, this made my last hour of work fun. Time for me to go home.
Daganev2005-06-09 20:56:33
Nijaed so I'm reposting my edit here...

The one thing I really hope does NOT happen, is that the book turns into a battle between gods and some sort of Armegedon.

Great way to pass time, I agree.
Fain2005-06-09 20:58:12
Nah, Martin isnt really concerned with magic or the supernatural.. it does happen in his world, but its rare, very rare. His books are more focused on the interactions between his people. So I highly doubt we'll see any DBZ type magical holocaust at the end.
