Now that Jelaludin is a coyote furrikin of doom and trickannery, I want a racial nibble attack for furrikin. It could be like newbie punch or kick. Brilliance!

mellow.gif What does it have the side effect of sometimes making the person horny(afflict love)?

I want racial emotes damn it..

Is this section for serious ideas anymore?

Not with Jello posting.

They're either rediculous or were implimented several months back.

Did I tell you, I won the Civil War? single-handedly!

He changed race, so of course, he wants something new for it. happy.gif

Meh. It's silly, a waste of time, poor coders. Maybe as a racial emote, but not as a serious attack.

Find the emotes thread on this board and design a racial emote for whatever race you want one for. There are already ones for aslaran, dracnari, and mugwumps at least...

This idea is just..noway.gif

Could we have the stupidity closed? tongue.gif

You don't need to feel threatened by my genius.
Erion2005-06-10 17:01:45
I'm afraid it's contagious.

Stupidity it may be... but I have found myself asking, why do aslaran not have claws? I've concluded we still have vestigial but ineffective claws, and that's why we've taken up weapons -- so aslaran blademasters consider their swords their claws. (It's hard to reconcile aslaran bonecrushers, particularly given the krokani vulnerability to blades and resistance to bludgeons, but fortunately I don't know any.) That said, it'd be nice if we had a tiny, trivial, newbie-kick-level scratch attack for RP purposes. But I didn't think it was worth asking for it... we can't even groom ourselves or land on our feet after months of asking for that.

Actually, blades/maces have a longer reach. As do staves and just about any other weapon. I imagine that may be the serious reason why they've moved away from using claws (assuming they have them).

Really, I've nothing against wanting RP things - even mini-attacks, emotes. But there just comes a point where it's rediculous and not worth bugging our coders with READING it, let alone coding it... I'd rather they be working on bug-fixes or coding the next bout of fun, yanno?

Technically speaking, having long claws/nails would interfere with using a sword or a bludgeon well.
Sylphas2005-06-10 17:23:12
You can do a hell of a lot more damage with a sword than you can with any but the most kick-ass magical claws. Even if you had them, wouldn't you trim your claws in order to better use more effective weapons?
Erion2005-06-10 17:23:22
...Cats have retractable claws, dear.
Erion2005-06-10 17:23:44
At least, did last time I got scratched. >.>
