"Do we have claws?" fits into the huge gigantic part of "what is an aslaran" that the Gods didn't give us. However, I am pretty sure that the descriptions of a few of those in Shanthmark refer to claws, and in any case, pretty well everyone I've ever talked to assumes we have retractable claws. But clearly, CLAW ERION doesn't do anything, so they must be vestigial enough to do trivial damage if we have them. That's how I'm playing it.

It'd be nice if CLAW ERION made you notice just a tiny bit more than an emote would. Like, 10 damage and 2 bleeding. But I wholly agree, totally not worth the coding time. I'm not even sure GROOM or landing-on-feet is and I asked for those.

Can't you just, you know, emote the claws? I don't see how you need a "claw" ability for aslarans to have them..

Someone would actually use it then. Bite and Scratch were utterly worthless with Hyena available immediately from your starter lessons.

Scratch barely did anything though. Think of it like the Dracnari racial ability to breathe fire (which can also be used on mobs). Just for RP purposes.

Yeah, Scratch is what I was thinking of, though even that might be more than we should have for this even in the Mystical Paradise Of A Thousand Coder Monkeys where this conversation could be taken seriously.
