Even to a mugwump with a lvl 3 lightning penalty I don't do that for a combo, not to mention I can miss, hit parry be rebounded or they dodge by attack.

Yes, I have a lvl 3 fire penalty, I had a firecloak on and a frost defence up which reduces it somewhat. but 2.3k for an attack that can be done line of sight, in the room and while in a demesne is rediculous. That aqua staff has always been too good, change the message and make it 50% fire and 50% cold or something similair. No-one else gets a decent staff damage type why should aquamancers. Hell 5-7 guards beating on me don't do that sort of damage.

I'm all for having the magic skillset reduce against elemental damage in part.

Maybe cuz we're mostly merians, with 18 intelegence, and, more importantly, 10 con. We're as tanky as wet paper. My health didn't pass 3k until level 80. Thats why we should get a decent staff attack.

As for mages, just dont fight them in their demesne. You are supposed to die if you do, as Hajamin warned.

I commonly have +1 to str from firtuna but it means bugger all, a TF only givesd you 1 extra point of int.

If you had of said yeh I had a TF knoweldge and war blessing then maybe it would mean something.

He has a level 3 scepter.

Truefavours increase skills, so his highmagic and aquamancy were above trans, both of which affect the damage done.

Yep, you are about right Manjanaia. Level 3 penalty to fire is a real B. Think about it, he is pretty much taking +45% more damage from my staff than a normal person. That is what I mean about telling the whole story. He comes on complaining about something, without taking into account all of the variables involved.

Well Geb, to be honest, you do about 1.4k to 1.5k damage to me, with staff.
So does Shamarah.
And I can't launch a good offensive since you're usually a faeling, writhe like crazy, get your demesne to throw me around, stand a couple of rooms away and staffcast the hell out of me while I'm stunned/blackout/freezing.
Don't even let me get started on dreamweaving aquamancers.
I don't have this much trouble with either of the other two demesne-using guilds.

I do not have blackout Eiru. Also, you only get moved one room away by currents. Also, webbing is on equilibrium, so being a fealing does not speed up the use of web. So please get your facts straight first, before you act like you are trying to be totally honest.

*I can't speak to the damage part, because I would have to have someone there to check you to make sure you are taking that much. I do know that Terenas takes only 1.1k damage from me if he has the fire defense up, and he is a surged merian with a level 2 penalty to fire. At best I see about 1.6k on him, but that is after his elemental defenses are stripped and he is surged.

Perhaps I do not notice when you switch to merian.
And so your demesne moves me one room away, and you go one room away, cool.
Maybe I mixed you up and Shamarah with the blackout, but I remember how much of a b*tch it was in an aquamancer's demesne.
