And I was pointing out that druids don't compare as well as they should.
Nayl2005-06-16 19:31:44
Aww, especially since all we can do with staves, is to swing them, we point our cudgels.

But yea, saps standard, only thing is, theirs doesn't cost power, ours does. sad.gif
And that makes me a saaaad panda.
Ceres2005-06-16 19:35:04
Theirs does.
Sylphas2005-06-16 19:36:06
Phantoms doesn't. sad.gif
Kaervas2005-06-17 10:24:28
Sap >>>> Phantoms, especially for a druid.
Elryn2005-06-17 11:06:27
What's the cure to phantoms?
Shiri2005-06-17 11:10:58
There is no cure to phantoms. Which sucks.
Shamarah2005-06-17 11:11:31
If you're seriously comparing Phantom to Sap...

um...

I don't really know what to say.
Kaervas2005-06-17 11:12:16
Except there's no way I could potentially kill someone's offense with phantoms.
Athana2005-06-17 13:38:30
You can cure phantom with critique in Art.
Shiri2005-06-17 13:52:00
Pardon, completely forgot about it. Probably because only like 3 people have it, and they don't use it because it isn't worth it. mellow.gif

Phantoms is just annoying cause of the 350 damage stack every 10 seconds, ontop of everything else, if you can tank a little, it won't bother you at all, since it's all specific messages, not generic. It's not anywhere near a devastating skill..
Sylphas2005-06-17 16:00:36
It's damage and afflictions that are free, and follow them. Ancestralcurse beats it, but they just have to move. Also, curse takes 8 power. Phantoms is an excellent skill. The only way I can get passive entangling (yes, I know it's random) is with 8 power for darkseed.
Thorgal2005-06-17 18:07:16
Yeah, but you can get phantomed, and not have been entangled a single time when it wears off.
Geb2005-06-17 18:22:58
Phantoms is a pretty darn nice spell. It gives the mage a bit more passive damage and affliction abilities for a 0 power cost. Beyond the facts I mentioned, that skill is not that debilitating. In the middle of a fight with multiple people with an enemy mage included, I will normally ignore healing phantoms in favor of dealing with the more pressing matters of survival. By itself, Phantoms is not really that much more than an annoyance to me.

* If it so happens to entangle me multiple times, it can be a bit more problematic.
Sylphas2005-06-17 18:29:57
I guess my main problem is that mages and druids are always (understandably) lumped together, when they have vastly different capabilities. Or times when druids are overlooked in discussions where they should have comparable abilities (staff/cudgel, runes, etc).
