My feeling about Lusternia has moved towards and away from the "quit" point over the last couple of months, and I've been a lot closer than I am now, but I am still way too close for comfort. The thing that's keeping me here is all the roleplay stuff sitting in front of me, mostly racial and guild things. The thing that's driving me away is the fact that all that has been sitting in front of me for ages and at the best of times I can only advance on it at a snail's pace because, wait, someone is raiding someone, a village just had its resources stolen, a village just revolted, the gods want us to go to war with everyone, some purposeless can't think of anything better to do then kill people, and I have a clot of idiots in my commune/guild/clan/whatever who think it'd be more fun to sing snippets of pop tunes or throw drama-queen fits about everyone's innate right to do whatever the hell they want regardless of consequences or some other made-up bitchfest-fodder. So really, who cares whether aslaran eat vegetables or how Serenguard are guided by the Warrior Spirits? Just get out your damned sword and hack up hack down strike gut raze, rinse and repeat. Nod and smile.

I sense a little anger...
I'm sure you can slowly push your roleplay towards a more suitable area and by doing so you should be able to push those around you, too.

I've been pushing for months... RL months. But yes, it's frustrating and sometimes anger-inducing to have to wade through so much other stuff to get to the good parts.

No doubt about it.

It's ok, Nepthysia, if you'd ever spoken to me in-game (or out, now that I think about it), you might realise I'm not -quite- as bad as I'm often made out to be.
Usually.
Sometimes I am. But that's just my temper.
I'm well aware it's a game, Gregori, but when you live where I do, games and books are all you have for company. (other than tv, but, meh).
