That said, I don't think Celest could claim 1/4th of that. Rhysus is pretty on target when he says that Celest needs some cultural reorganization.

yeah we rock as a guild, go guild admin champion and master. *sends our more application forms* heh. Actually i think ur'guard are just lucky they smoothed out a lot of things fast in the beginning and had a group of people who enjoyed doing the same things.

We had about 23 citizens on the other day. There wasn't a single real fighter besides myself.
Alger2005-06-11 23:16:03
Also not meaning to diss or anything but Celest has a weak RP foundation in my opinion. Your reasons for fighting boils down to oh because they're/its tainted. Honestly i wouldnt fight for that either and probably would just go harvest or something.

I think Celest should stop with their Shallam like oh were about peace and love and we're the "good" side. Go play the "self righteous strong hand, I'll smite you down because i want to save your souls" type. None of the "but its wrong blah blah blah", and more of the "for the light because well theres no other way". Just like Raf, and Anu.

The Church in its like Holy Crusading days was pretty badass.

No Nokraenom...

What I am saying, in simple terms for you, is that game balance is tilted in favour of Magnagora on the big scale (villages, politics rather than individual combat) and it shouldn't be.

Hmm.

You say that Magnagora is favored on the political, success-as-a-city scale, but not favored in individual combat. Alright.

What elements comprise individual combat? Player skill, character skills, and equipment. If we are not favored in individual combat, then we must not be favored in the elements that comprise individual combat, else we would be favored in individual combat, correct?

If this is so, but we still dominate politically, then by your own argument it is caused by something other than the skills we use.

That's just a roundabout tangle of bad logic.

Not all skills benefit individual combat, and not all skills benefit the city on a larger scale.

Perhaps you could tell me where my logic erred, Amaru.

Perhaps not.

Totally impractical. All the actual dropping and maintaining of eye sigils, then the fact you'd have to wait around for ages for the soul to even manifest into the person again. I've done it before, but the effort makes it a useless strategy in reality.

The longest that a soul sits around is 30 seconds, and that was when my cures went bat censor.gif and decided to spam me.

EDIT: Watch your language. ~Shiri~

I just did.

Your 'logic' requires I agree to the statement 'Player skill, character skills, and equipment comprise player combat.'

I disagree. PvP combat abilities, player skill, character statistics and equipment are the components of PK, if you want to turn this into a strict debate. Which it shouldn't be at 12 48am.

So let's nerf the Magnagoran player-base, and we'll be good.

Yar! Make us only able to log in 20 minutes a week!

QUOTE(Shamarah @ Jun 12 2005, 08:46 AM)
And to the Magnagorans who think Lich shouldn't be downgraded: out of the last 10 times you died, how many of those times have you lost experience?  Because I lose it every time I die.
136593

Round 4, thanks to it randomly disappearing on me. Like it does to Thorgal, and probably the others. Oh, and when I got caught by an eye sigil.
Shamarah2005-06-11 23:53:49
Yrael, that means you avoided taking any experience loss from EIGHT OUT OF THE TEN TIMES YOU DIED. This doesn't sound like a massive advantage to anyone else?

Uh, 10-4=6
Shamarah2005-06-11 23:56:14
He said "round 4"... doesn't that mean the fourth of the ten times? And the time he got stuck by an eye sigil, so...

10-1-1=8
Unknown2005-06-11 23:58:32
No, he means around 4, as in roughly 4 tongue.gif
Yrael2005-06-12 00:00:44
Yup. God forbid I should leave out a ' or A.
Amaru2005-06-12 00:03:54
Yeah...

(Disciples of Klangratch): Thorgal (from the Prime Material Plane) says, "I
don't care about mages, I just hate inquisition."

Thorgal has just placed the karmic curse of knowledge upon you.

(Disciples of Klangratch): Thorgal says, "Now to get back that 45%."

(Disciples of Klangratch): Thorgal says, "At level 80."

(Disciples of Klangratch): Terenas (from the Astral Plane) says, "See you in a
few days."

You die, you lose exp. That's IRE. Come on... don't take lich for granted guys.

You just didn't.

Actually, so long as you agree that individual combat is affected by character skills (which, I assume, you are calling PvP combat abilities?), you've offered no refutation of what I said. closedeyes.gif

Now, if you want to backpedal and say that character skills have no bearing on individual combat... wink.gif

Uhh, no.

Character skills - IS NOT EQUAL TO (definition) - PvP combat abilities. Note my distinction between abilities which help in PvP, and other abilities.

For example, my ability to get amnesty in influence does not affect my PvP ability. It does affect, to a small degree, overall game balance.

I am saying that darkseed is one of these abilities. Spare me the pretentious logic.
