Obviously, then, the guild is doing good? I guess it's okay for the Serenguard not to have any decent RP, utter and pure stagnation, and clanhelp files in your guild-clans that are STILL exact copies of achaean orderhelps
Sorry. I guess I have such a shallow definition of a good job. =\\

I'm not sure who has ran against Nessa since Athana left but I think a big part of it is that people pick the most popular person instead of who's best for the job. Nessa actually did things (for a while), after viewing her journal I was excited to see all the ideas she had, but for some reason nothing else progressed from there, not sure how it is now though.
Sylphas2005-06-13 03:15:53
Those helps were deleted by Jairdan, I believe. And no way I'd have let Awen files around after taking office.
Gregori2005-06-13 06:14:51
As Branwyn said. It isn't so much the fact Nessa is a a bad GA as the person running against her was not a popular choice. I said from the start his contesting was not a good idea. Especially contesting just as there is a GM change happening. The only thing Jairdan's jumping on the electoral bandwagon did is look to the guild like he was power hungry and trying to slip in on Sylphas' coattails.
Jairdan2005-06-13 09:15:39
And the only reason Nessa has done -anything- in the past 3 IG years is -because- i've either contested or threatened to contest. She does nothing if she doesn't feel threatened, and even then, what she does is subpar.
The only thing i've done that has made me unpopular is be zealous towards what the guild is supposedly based off of. Its kind of crappy when you advocate being truthful to the teachings of White Hart and get disliked by Hartstone for it.
I really don't care though. All I wanted to do was help the guild, because I cared about it and thought it was awful that it was getting dragged through the mud, but, if they prefer Nessa, I have no problem putting my 40+ pages of structure, framework, and plans in the drawer and never having it be seen. If the guild is happy with being the joke of Lusternia (hell, even of all IRE to an extent), then Nessa's tried and true methods are sure to work for that purpose.
Bleh, now i'm sounding bitter, and i'm really not, well, not over losing at least. Am I bitter that Hartstone is a joke? Definitely, but i'd be irked by that whether I won or lost, because its just overall the worst IRE guild i've ever seen, and that's a shame, because it had so much potential with the RP foundations it was given. Oh well, at least the Moondancers went above and beyond with what they were given.. I suppose they're decent counterweights to eachother... now, if only I didn't like the hartstone class so much.

Then stop fuggin' contesting! In three IC years, even I could work it out, numbnuts.
Tsuki2005-06-13 10:33:07
Y'know what's not good? When a non-novice Hartstone asks who White Hart is. Even if said questioner discovers the answer on his own less than a minute later while the Moondancer who was there to hear the question is stunned at the fact that he had to ask it to begin with. That's just ... not good.
Gregori2005-06-13 10:44:29
The problem with Hartstone is not that is needs 40 pages of framework and structure. Maybe 20 IC years ago that would have been good, but not after so long.
The problem with Hartstone is that it needs the framework and structure it has started to be implemented.
There is already a solid framework there, it has to be -built on- not -rebuilt-. Appoint Secretaries, start pushing for things to be done. Hell get a Novice Sec and undersecs that will do the damn job and -TEACH- novices. This BS with "welcome to Hartstone, please read these files and piss off" is absurd.
Anyways, as I said Jairdan's contesting was poor timing, poor thought, and he was show a second time he is not wanted as GA. Sylphas and Nessa may be able to work well together. Time will tell. At least Sylphas will do the job he was elected for. If Nessa stuffs up, then find a person for GA that -can- win.

Erion2005-06-13 12:40:53

Nayl2005-06-13 12:51:44

I can point cudgel.
Erion2005-06-13 12:57:20
+1 for Nayl. Yea, forgot about you.
Nayl2005-06-13 13:24:51
Yea, you tend to do that alot.
Erion2005-06-13 13:31:16
Amaru stole that coif you gave me. So I forget about you easily.
Nayl2005-06-13 13:33:56
Erion2005-06-13 13:34:24
Anyone else smell a batch of +1
Erion2005-06-13 13:34:53
Any rate, I keep thinking of you as a shadowdancer and/or nihilist for some reason. >.<
Unknown2005-06-13 13:42:13
What's sad is that is that Hartstone votes against Jairdan because of 'personality' issues. Then again with Nessa in power they can continue to subvert the Commune in secret. So I guess it's easy to pick someone who uses OOC methods and turns a blind eye to your actions over someone who may be a bit rough around the edges but actually gives a damn about the Guild and RP.
Erion2005-06-13 13:43:42
Pfft, Cron, you're so funny Of COURSE she gives a damn, we're just ignorant and stupid and dunno anything.
Niara2005-06-13 13:46:15
It is always amazing when people start to assume how things are working or what or what is not happening, especially when they are not part of the guild. There were reasons why people decided this way or that, you can assume as much as you want but please spare us your petty assumptions...keep them to tells, PM or whatever but not to this place....or should we start a thread each time someone got or didn't get elected?
