Gregori, I like how you're all "I always said this was a bad idea" when you never said it -to- me. All you ever do is say you'll support me, then bitch about me behind my back. So, yeah, your opinion on character is a bit worthless in my book.
As for finding someone who -can- win, it wasn't so much that I was some horrible sort of choice.
Barrin, Mel, Vesien, and Jitwix are related to her, and Ashteru was trying to get into her pants at the time. Niara doesn't like me because I thought her job consisted of more than bashing, and I told her so.
In addition to that, every single one of my votes were from ACTIVE members *gasp* Nessa can't say the same. So, yes, the inactive half of the guild wants Nessa, and that does not = me being disliked.

What role does a GM play? I've heard some say that a GM is nothing more than a figurehead. The GA does the actual work. Niara was around and quite helpful, always selling herbs to the commune, foresting when needed (not all of the time) but yes, sometimes. I admit, I'd get frustrated if I'd look for a druid and no one would respond. Demesnes are so important when influencing or defending our territory. Other than that, I don't think that Hartstone is in any worse shape than the other guilds in Lusternia. Everyone is overreacting. Erion, go worry about the Glomdoring guilds. The guild voted Nessa back in and that's that. There's no reason that Jairdan can't do things for the guild without being GA. Is it only about gaining power? If I lost my position in the guild, I'd still do whatever the Serenguard required of me and then some.
Erion2005-06-13 18:29:00
I actually did this because I was tired of hearing people whine/complain about it in IMs, but too afraid of making a thread because they feared someone taking it IC.
And wtf do I care about your opinion of me?

I don't have an opinion of you. I didn't make one either.

That is correct I said I would support you. When you asked me if I would vote for you I said yes. I also told Ibaesha that I think your contesting right now was a bad idea, it seemed like you were trying to slip in on Sylphas' election, and that a good portion of the guild has no interest in you.
Why did I tell Ibaesha and not you? Because you get a stick up your *** anytime someone tells you something except her. So I figured if anyone could make you see that this was not a good idea it would be her.
It was obvious you were trying to convince the guild of how good you are when you latched onto Sylphas the moment he ran for GM, not to mention your constant IRC conversations trying to convince people to vote for you. It was actually these reasons that made me change my vote to Nessa. I would rather have a GA I know has tried to fix things, than a GA who jumped on a bandwagon and has spent more time complaining about how bad things are instead of trying to ensure that things are better.
40 pages of stuff you claim to have, yet I haven't seen one bit of effort on your part to do anything with your "structure" other than complain that nobody wants it and you are victimised for not winning an election.
Actually do something more than complain about how bad things are, and maybe people will a: take you seriously, and b: not assume that you just seeking a position.
Oh, on a final note; stepping down as a Secretary because you lost an election does nothing to make you look good. In fact it makes it look alot more like you just wanted to be GA and since you lost you decided to take your bat and ball and go home.
So your opinion of my judge of character matters little to me. I told Ibaesha the day you created that I bet you anything you will be the exact same. So far. I have been right.
EDIT::
One last thing, If you would not have decided you -had- to be GA the last time. Nessa would have been gone already and the guild would be well on its way to improving. You asked me then if I would vote for you and I told you I had already talked to Sylphas to get him to run and I had almost half the votes available for him. You then decided Sylphas could be GA and you could be GM, and I said that if we get Nessa gone, Niara might smarten up. I log on a couple days later and you have decided to jump the election and run for GA. So you made your own damn bed, now lay in it. Go tell someone else how you have the best interest of the guild at heart. I have seen your best interests.
Jairdan2005-06-13 19:10:59
Gregori, you've ONLY ever talked to me ICly, so, yes, my character is an elitist. You need to learn to seperate.
As for my 40 pages of stuff, quite a few people have seen portions of it, except, when I tried to show it to you, you ignored me and babbled on to Munsia inanely about combat.
As for IRC, i've not tried to convince -anyone- to vote for me there. The argument with Nessa that happened there -I didn't even start-, I entered and they were talking about Niara, it then moved on to Nessa, and then she came in.
And I havn't acted victimized for not being elected, its actually a relief. You don't know anything about me Gregori, considering I was first trying to get Sylphas or Elryn to run for GA, it wasn't until alot of conversations with alot of people that got me to run for it in the first place.
And my second contest had NOTHING to do with Sylphas. Me and him had talked about running as a team, but decided against it. Then Nessa and I got into an argument and she knew I was going to contest soon, so she started doing things and blaming the guild for her lack of activity. So, AGAIN people came TO ME and asked me when I was going to contest.
And you of above all people have got nerve to tell me what makes me look good. The day I see you RP and not fiddle with your script in completely OOC fashion, is the day I might care what you think. Personally, I don't mind Jairdan being disliked for his RP, but you obviously can't seem to seperate, so, I don't care if you dislike me either.
When it comes to me stepping down as sec, its because I don't want to deal with Nessa. She ruins the fun I have playing, and that is not worth anything I'd be getting in return.
Also..on a last note... I worked to change quite a bit. If i hadn't pushed, Hartstone would still have Awen scrolls, but the fact is, the -GA- handles structure, and I will freely admit to not wanting to give all of my ideas to Nessa so she can continue to be useless and leech off of others ideas. Hell, even the -current- branch system she got from someone else, who she promptly turned on.

First of all: Yeah, maybe, but not anymore since she retains her office.
Second: I didn't vote for anyone because I was inactive at that time and thought the voting would end this friday (I dunno why, but I thought that.)
Third: Well, I don't know how much she is doing, but she does a lot with the helpfiles, she helps the newbies and always helps if you ask her. Same with Niara, and I am sure the same will be with Sylphas again. That's all I want from the Guildheads, not more, not less.

Jairdan, you assume too much...you want to know why I voted for Nessa? It is quite easy, because of your attitude. You surely have a great potential but until you haven't changed your behaviour you won't get far in our guild or in any other.
Your reasoning that this or that person is related to Nessa is really amusing, they were there before, for example during your first attempt when the voting ended so very close.
Also, talking about inactive people that suddenly appeared and voted.....hmm, I hope that was just some sort of joke. If not then I really wonder where you play.
Oh, and finally....blaming me for ONE thread that I started because some retard insisted on bringing something even to an ooc-level is so hilarious I can barely type because of laughing....if I would start a thread each time I get jumped then you would have to skip a lot of threads...so maybe instead of giving me this crap just remain quiet.

Oh, yes, my attitude of "Hey, GM, GA, DO YOUR DAMN JOB" horrible, horrible attitude.
And yeah, I won't get far.. I was a CR4/GR4 Sec.. wait.. how much further can I go?
And Niara, Vesien and Branwyn are near completely inactive. Branwyn voted for Nessa in the first election, and Vesien voted in both. As did her family.

Manjanaia2005-06-13 19:22:10
If you couldn't get your desired position over an inactive person then you clearly are not wanted or thought of as capable. It doesn't matter how many credentials you claim to have. You weren't wanted. And I hear that has been proven many times. All this whining just makes you look lame.
Jairdan2005-06-13 19:26:43
Wtf, i'm not even whinning.
I - DO - NOT - CARE - THAT - I - WAS - NOT - ELECTED
Please read the whole thread before you make comments, Manjanaia. They said I didn't get elected because I was disliked, I pointed out all of my votes came from active people, while Nessa has inactive or BARELY active people voting for her.
If the guild wants her, then fine, I don't care. Not whinning, simply clearing up people's twisted statements which are not the case. Now, i'm done, and i'll go work on what I actually will have fun with.

I doubt very much you are laughing. In fact I would guess you are fairly much pissed off. You may have only started one thread but you never pass up an opputunity to complain about being jumped while harvesting or bashing in any thread even remotely related. If you were laughing as you claimed you wouldn't be so defensive. So maybe instead of pretending otherwise just actually laugh. If being jumped when bashing pisses you off but garnering a reputation as a poor GM makes you laugh, then nothing further really needs to be said.
Manjanaia2005-06-13 19:32:34
I did read the thread. You seem very whiny to me.
Niara2005-06-13 19:33:14
Uuuh, Cron...please, what has getting jumped to do with being GM? I think that we all understood that you don't like me but please spare us these more than odd comparisons.
Malicia2005-06-13 19:33:26
Niara is not inactive. She's always around.
Jairdan2005-06-13 19:34:12
I was adressing Niara, not suggesting she was inactive, sorry if that was confusing.
Ashteru2005-06-13 19:38:57
Only a question.
Did Branwyn actually vote for you this time or did she decide not to vote?
Don't know, you called Branwyn inactive some posts ago, I think, and now you said all active people voted for you. But I also read something 'bout a promise. So I am not sure. *shrug*

So many dirty laundries.
Jairdan2005-06-13 19:43:37
she promised she would abstain from voting because she planned to quit Hartstone when Lisaera was made patron.
Ashteru2005-06-13 19:45:29
Ah , okay.
Well, I question myself how long this htrad will stay on page 1. Guess at least another week.
