I tend to like a bit of everything, although less so heavy metal and techno (Although techno can be excellent for juggling to, so I'm learning to appreciate it more ). At the moment my favourite singer/band is Gackt, who's the guy at both ends of my signature. Unfortunately, people tend to assume that the only reason people like him is cause he's pretty, which is extremely annoying because he makes really really good music as well . The best thing is, he has music in every genre imaginable, except techno and jazz (So far, and some of his songs have hints of them anyway), and all of it's decent quality, from classical piano solos to R&B to hard rock. So that works pretty well for someone like me who likes all genres, as long as it's good quality. And he has the most gorgeous deep rich voice .
My other favourite at the moment is an accapella quartet called the Idea of North (Yeah, I tend to like obscure people ). They are absolutely brilliant, especially live because all they have are microphones and then it really hits home that "Wow, they're making all those sounds just with themselves." They do mostly jazz, but a few other things as well (Like a really beautiful rendition of "When She Loved Me" from Toy Story 2) and they have a great sense of humour, so a lot of their songs are really funny.
Hmmm... After that my other two favourites are Rob Dougan and george, who I guess are probably kinda obscure as well but this post is probably long enough .

Mangina, nice selection.
Download an aussie band called 'Karnivool', and another one called 'COG'.
Judging from those, you should like Karvi fairly decently.

No offense, and I'm prolly gonna get stoned to death for this, but Ozzy and Black Sabbath are to old for me to like.  But I do have War Pigs and Crazy Train?

>.> Barely passing. I don't think it's child-worthy, though. Maybe rough, meaningless sex.
Manjanaia2005-06-13 17:06:12
Can't beat Ozzy! He's a right dude.
...
I don't want sex. Thought I'd add that.

Nayl2005-06-13 17:42:29
Alright, Manajaiananja, just download some Karnivool.
Manjanaia2005-06-13 17:57:37
Recommend some songs?
Torak2005-06-13 18:09:22
Bob dylan, Tom petty, Black sabbath, Alice cooper, Pink floyd, Led Zepplin..so on so forth.
Nayl2005-06-13 18:32:14
Umm... just download Themata, their newest album, it's all good stuff.
Lots of different styles on the cd.
All like 'pop metal', for lack of another definition, but it's complex, and good vocals, like singing, not screaming.

Nayl2005-06-13 18:46:21
That's not cool, it might not be on the net for a while, or no one has it.
Yrael2005-06-14 07:42:27

Nayl2005-06-14 07:55:05

My favorites are and always will be: Muse, Incubus, The Killers, Audioslave, Coldplay and Green Day.
But I listen to absolutely everything. And I do mean everything. Right now, my playlist contains (all of the above, of course , and) Eminem, Chevelle, REM, Ciara (?!), Anna Nalick, Shakira, System of a Down, Nine Inch Nails, some Japanese stuff, Garbage, Eve 6, Alkaline Trio, Interpol, Maroon 5, Jump Little Children, and everything in between. So yeah. I love music of all sorts.

I have a weird taste of music, I ussually am quite oblivious to dance music, though when Im at a rave, I LOVE it. Otherwise, Im addicted to Jazz, speccially blues: Ella Fitzgerald, Billie Holiday, Sylvia Syms, Ithamara Koorax, and Ruth Brown.
Also love U2 (mainly cos of Bono), Radiohead, Moby, Mew, Nirvana, Pink Floyd, Eric Clapton, JIMMI HENDRIX, Doves, Stereophonics, Pluto... and sadly I have been sucked in by Che Fu's new one 2d- you really should listen to it, its great. And I'm loving Macy Gray at the moment she brilliant.

Hmm, methinks I might do some promotion myself.
Check the sig link, then www.amongthefallen.tk (some friends of mine).
Uhhh, other than that, top 10 songs top to bottom (that I can think of at the moment):
Creeping Death - Metallica
Demon of the Fall - Opeth
Raining Blood - Slayer
The Wizard - Sabbath
Beautifully Depressed - Down
The Mighty Quinn - Don McLean
Destruction Overdrive - Black Label Society
Heartwork - Carcass
The Immortal - Arch Enemy
Sunshine of Your Love - Cream
I would get more ecclectic, but I figure sticking Cream and Slayer in the same post is good enough.

I hate The Killers and Greenday. But mostly Greenday...The Killers I can kinda stand.
Why do people like Greenday?
