This is a tad worse.
Shiri2005-06-16 05:29:57
Yeah, it is kinda amusing seeing people trying to defend this when they've complained about -much- less.
Actually I was having people telling me about all the times Lisaera and Isune did the same things, but uh..."in closed BETA" was a key part of 99% of them, oddly enough.

a tad worse?
yes this is worse than some divine mysteriously finding the corpse of a demon lord which turns out to be the tool which lowers the summoning shield of our city, and lets it drain power from out nexus. hah
in close beta...
look i honestly dont see anything wrong with Fain. All that happen was he gave us his permission not like he took your mother tree or your supernals...
i cant believe you call that -much- less...
oh and that was in open beta.

Closed beta is as irrelevant as the test server, heh.
Anyway, we've established it was a cheap tactic, so let's continue to rag on Fain's order.

Yes it is, good boy.
I'd rather have some power drained than have the people who fight and work for the commune get worldburned.
How do you even justify enemying people to Fain's order for influencing a village?
Alger2005-06-16 05:45:05
hah, okay glad to know what you think of all this.
If you think dying to worldburn is more significant than destroying days of work for getting a necromantate up, getting gorgulu up and all the lost power everybody worked hard for then thats just sad. Maybe you dont know how that works, in which case you're forgiven.
And how do we justify it? Just like how serenwilde justified us getting enemied by something like standing in the forest. Heh I was enemied to Lisaera for standing at the Megalith. Its stupid, i know

You didn't answer, how do you justify the enemying?
Alger2005-06-16 05:56:52
there answered it now.
Unknown2005-06-16 06:02:34
That isn't a justification. You've done enough to Serenwilde to deserve your enemy status, though.
So can we agree that there was no rp to it and Fain's order just wanted to powergame the win?

correction... I've done enough after I was enemied, think hard why so many of us hate serens guts
And I wasn't trying to justify anything. My whole point it all your crying is like a whore calling another whore a WHORE!... which makes this whole thing retarded. Whats sad though is you guys are washing your hands like oh you're all so innocent and victimized, at which point someone who had a clue would say, what goes around, comes around.

Excuse me? Cut the sweeping generalisations. I've done nearly naught personally to Magnagora and when Serenwilde acts like s I call them s. If you were enemied for stupid reasons, fine, that sucks and it's lame, but it doesn't mean Fain's order can do the same thing and call everything fine and dandy.
EDIT: Watch your language. ~Shiri~

I think the real point here is - they still got their asses handed to them... TWICE

By, uh, TWO other organisations teaming up.
Unknown2005-06-16 06:19:22
That does bring a smile to my face...
But no. If there is a stupid decision made it's a stupid decision whether others have done the same thing before or not. It has to stop at some point.
'An eye for an eye makes the whole world blind' or something, as Ghandi said...or someone.

Yes it doesnt. But whats funny is when we complained, we were called whinners. Hell we bring it up now, a lot of you still try to defend those past actions.
And im not generalizing, I'm pointing out the actions of an organization towards another organization. Just like how you're pointing out that this is an injustice done by fain's "order".

Unknown2005-06-16 06:25:49
Why do you say 'order'?
An order is a religious organisation and I hardly see it as an offense against Fain to influence a village.
I'm not defending anything as right. Yes, I said some things were less harmful than others, but so? I didn't say they were ok.
You are generalising. 'So many of you hate seren guts', 'a whore calling a whore a whore', etc.

Alger2005-06-16 06:31:56
hehe actually i was quite proud of the effort The village revolted there were 4 mags and a lot of seren/celest plus we had no mages. I honestly thought we'd lose it rather fast, but everybody held out, no one gave up (of course not counting those who had to go) and we put up one hell of a fight. Considering we're fighting against two cities/communes, it was amusing to see the fighting spirit. We were dying left and right no one even complained and everybody just kept asking where they were needed.
Alger2005-06-16 06:42:26
but so? So in effect you're trying to portray that this whole incident is oh by far the worst thing thats happened so far? So in effect you're saying oh you've never done anything -that- bad. So in effect you're downplaying past transgressions and exaggerating the current event?
Quidgyboo, some actions are done as whole, as an organization. Take in for example the Serenwilde alchemyban on Magnagora. It is an action of the entire organization of Serenwilde on the organization of Magnagora. Now I think this alchemy ban is stupid but im not going to put blame on just one person because for a tradeban to work it has to be an action done by the commune as a whole. The same goes for most of the activities in lusternia they are organizational movements. Its not like you dont have a choice of which organization you belongn to either, meaning this choice is a form of support for the said movement.

Isune "accidently" found Baalphegar's corpse by the way, not Gorgulu's.
