But it'd be nasty for Narsrim to raid when there's no security on. The few people that are on wouldn't know.

Such people can't stop the serpent/burrow machine anyway.
Erion2005-06-16 18:18:17
No one can stop the serpent/burrow machine as-is.
What about a discretionary power that makes random exits invisible? Would be annoying, for raiders who don't know their way around. And a druid-discretionary power, to throw up thornwalls in random exits, just like the demesne ability!
Any-rate, I like the suggestions. Although Ethereal still needs to be looked at.

Briar walls hinder the defense more than the offense as it is. And why spend 300 power for a demesne ability?

'Cause it's fun.
EDIT: And because you can flow right to the person, versus wandering around looking for him.

I like all the ideas, but for the idea of having only security hear the channel.
In glomdoring, I would like it if only certain people could hear people screaming, so that the average citizen doesn't know we are ever 'attacked', however I think it should be anyone who is a minister or an aide to minister of the city, or holds a position in the guild other than Undersecretary that should be able to hear it.

I don't know. What about a discretionary power that gives dreamers perm-aeon, while in the area?

Yea, but poor Magnagora.
EDIT: Instead of just anti-ghost, what about one that did passive damage on-par or over what you'ld get from being on Astral w/out having the ability to survive to those out of phase (dreamform, ghost)
Sylphas2005-06-16 18:48:18
Because that would make dreaming useless?
I like them all, and I'm apparently the only one who likes the idea of protectors/security only hearing it. Gives protectors something other than a name.

Which? The passive damage? It's not much, only a couple hundred. And with absinthe, it's nothing. You can normally get in and do your business well before then.

I don't like this anti-ghost thing, unless there is anti tumble, anti leap, anti all movement skills.
Gwylifar2005-06-16 18:58:20
An anti-ghost one should probably also stop dreamwalkers, considering how indigo/violet/chockmah/kether work.

Tumble and leap don't let you move past guards and statues without being touched.

Maybe for ghosts.
I don't see dreamwalking to really be an overpowered raiding tactic.
