It doesn't instill fear, it makes you look like a petty moron who jumps people who are afk. Big difference.

Must've been changed since that happened to you, but when I was avengered with vitae up the avenger killed me twice.

1) Afk is technically not legal. I'm probably as guilty of it as anyone else...we all run to the bathroom or browse the forums while enchanting/forging/creating-something. Anyone who says otherwise is lying. I don't think you can use "i was afk" as a defence for such deaths. You may have been afk, but your character has -no- clue what that is. If you're going to be afk you better be prepared to accept the consequences. (And btw, this whole thing happened no more than 10-15 minutes after he called the avenger...he must've -just- ran off)

2) I guarntee you he'll think twice next time, or it will at least cross his mind...that's fear my friend, even if to a small degree.

3) You're just mad because the only other person I did that to was you!

I don't see how you got he was AFK from there. And why the heck is this in the combat logs, all you did was forced someone to kick Meleris and got him killed, just because he used the Avenger system, for all we know was intended for people not to get picked on by bullies. Who are you to judge the circumstances of which why Dysolis seeked vengence on Shinoska? Seriously, what you did was lame, pathetic, and circumvents the entire point of the Avenger system. Congratulations, I hope you feel proud.

My character doesn't know about AFK, but if you jump someone who is, you don't get much respect from the players.

And I don't really care that you did it to me, I'm mad at myself for havig my system paused and no defs up.

Also, the Avenger system was changed so that if you declared/attacked someone within minutes before the person died, you would have been put on the person's suspect list. The fact that you didn't when he died to Meleris also indicates that's a bug of which you unknowingly, or perhaps knowingly abused. Again, way to go, you truly made yourself special pulling your little stunt.

I found it funny and amusing, perhaps a bit yraelish...but oh well.

Certainly unknowingly, and as I mentioned in an above reply I'd have no problem with him having suspect on me. I was surprised he didn't. I'll bug it in game. (Doesn't surprise me this is a bug as there's lots of them in dreamweaving. Hell we have entire skills that don't work right or do anything at all. Speaking of which I'll have to see if Hajamin got the ball rolling on that Link bug like he said he would )

Perhaps if you actually tried to go after someone powerful solo, you may have garnered a bit of respect. You decided to go after a guy who has no skills, because right now he is not even in a guild. That is why he used Avenger on the other person probably, he does not even have the skills needed to attack a darn rat (besides the newbie kick).

I don't think you have to declare in city territory - it's auto-declare. Especially for city-enemies.
