...Make the Glomdoring quest identical to ours with a more subtly dark overtone (make a Faethorn loyal on the other side of Faethorn to Butter that makes shadowwebs capable of forcing Fae into spiritball form out of honey), and make dead Fae worthless to the Night Avatars. (Make Raziela resurrect them and Gorgulu eat them and crud them out as demons, if you care that much.) Sorted.

As I said there:

Actually, I *like* this. Except make it take spider-silk, dropped in eth-glom, you guys take honey-cakes, put in some dark, mischevious redcap or something near the eth-glom (or in) and have him make spider-web nets, which drains the soul from a Fae. Love it. Absolutely love it. I'm sick and tired of having to kill Fae, really. Serenwilde will still have the minor advantage of being able to cook honeycakes and use them - but who honestly cares?
Shiri2005-06-17 14:11:55
Well, that would work as well. (WHY didn't you agree to this when I was discussing it with you on the other thread, argh. tongue.gif)
Erion2005-06-17 14:14:40
Because I honestly didn't understand what you meant. I basically saw it as "give honeycake to fae;nature flow Gwyllgi;give fae to gwyllgi", which just didn't make IC sense. Now that it's been explained in more detail, I understand and fully agree.

And I'd like all the glom members to be unenemied to faethorn, kthnx.

Oh, fair enough. Or uh...next time Faethorn goes free, Maeve goes nuts and unenemies you all. ninja.gif

...

...

(You can't flow to Gwyllgi! whistling.gif)
Erion2005-06-17 14:19:22
I was too lazy to type in "nature flow Bob (who's at gwyllgi);". So, I just did short-hand. I'd like to see that. "We are no longer under Moon's influence. I grant amnesty to all Night's followers!" Bam.
Elryn2005-06-17 14:21:26
Ooo, and if that happens can we get unenemied to Nil as well?
Erion2005-06-17 14:23:19
Why? Taking up S&M, Elryn?
Elryn2005-06-17 14:24:30
Because killing tainted fae is what got us enemied. Similar to what you have to do, but the reverse.

Edit: And actually, why not have part of Glomdoring's quest on the plane of Nil rather than Faethorn? Since that was the origin of tainted fae in the first place. tongue.gif

Well, it would only happen the once. It'd be a special occasion. After that you guys should be enemied if you deserve it, but right now it's kinda a necessity.

(And Elryn, I still think we all should have been unenemied to Nil after the Tainted Fae crap, since the only one who wanted said Tainted Fae around was Gorgulu, and he was even more insane than usual. That said, it's not as key as unenemying to Faethorn, since they have to like, go there a lot of the time.)

No, Tainted Fae originate from the Glomdoring, from when it was originally tainted, as the Greater Spirits and their ilk were corrupted. The tainted Fae from Nil were something very, very different. And, that would be like saying, "Well, I want to be unenemied from Celest for killing Cherubs. I mean, only Raziela wants them." Nifilhema wants Gorgulu to be happy - so wouldn't she have wanted the tainted Fae?

You didn't HAVE to kill those Fae for power, or for your commune to work. You did it because of an RPed morality. This is something totally different.

EDIT: And ours can go on Nil, as long as yours required Celestia, and suddenly the Light hated the Forest, and wanted it Light or not at all.

Bah no that would make no sense. The history would still be there biggrin.gif .
Shiri2005-06-17 15:11:41
Well, scratch the Nil-unenemying then. (I still feel it wasn't a fair enemying, especially when towards the end Magnagorans had to clean them up.) That wasn't the point.

Uh...do my idea.

Heh. Agreed. smile.gif
Erion2005-06-17 17:05:27
bump.gif Are Shiri and I the only ones who really like this idea? Just out of curiousity here. I mean, it would allow a glom/seren alliance, at least against the cities.

And if I hear one thing about "OMG GLOM ISN'T A PART OF NATURE 'CAUSE IT'S TEH TAINT" Imma slap someone. Death, decay, locust, plague, illness, disease - these are all parts of Nature. Worms, bugs, everything has it's place - just because your pretty idealistic view of Nature doesn't entail them, doesn't mean our lacks them, too. sad.gif

I concur.
Lisaera2005-06-17 17:31:38
Glomdoring fae aren't tainted, they're bound by the taint.

Yea, sorry if I made that misconception. Poor faelies. sad.gif

Arn't they bound by shadow?

Shadows are tainted. Same diff. Really, it's just a symantics thing. Either way, offtopic.gif

I see one problem and it's bold. Also, the spider thing would probably go best on the western side of Faethorn in the little wing opposite Butter in my opinion. Loyal to Faethorn so we can't kill him also.
