Its possible to do if you hinder correctly. You need to be trans tarot and do all the other things properly, use them along with the angel, use hangedman, angel kneel + paralysis isn't half bad either.

Also start an inquisition on them, putting infidel on someone is enough to make them worry and run, you can also go for the soulless, or angel anorexia + aeon with enigma and warrior, there are plenty of tactics you can use.

You just need to get better is all

So they drop surge when fighting us. I can't last the four rounds I'd need to pull off amissio/absolve even with numen. I guarantee, even with angel on paralysis I'd be unable to. We're not exactly scary in the damage area. Now I know why Amaru uses hangedman/paralysis/trueheal/soulless. Gods.

If I had a working client, I'd grab a warrior and whip up a log. glare.gif

Anyways, try this. Run in, throw a moon tarot or heal deafness, and haul yer arse OUT of there. Heal the damage from the combo (with puella, if need be) and abjure quickening. Warrior should be fast in pursuit and will probably arrive before you get eq back. From there (assuming merian or mugwump), web, cosmicfire, cosmicfire, web or amissio as appropriate, amissio. They should still be sipping health. Do whatever needs to be done to get another amissio or two off before the system switches over to serious mana curing. If you haven't regained 1p by now, you deserve to lose. Otherwise, attempt absolve.

A warrior with 5k+ health isn't going to still be sipping health by the time you're past the first ammisio.

Wait, so that means you're not merian. Which would also lead to the assumption that you have an actual con score and should just go play soulless with all the other pseudotank guardians out there.

I'm gonna keep repeating it.

Parrying and stancing will NOT help you against a knight.

1) Lunges and crushes completely ignore both.

2) They regain balance double as fast when they miss, get dodged or hit parry.

Also, resilience doesn't do shite against elemental knights.

thorgal that is untrue, resilience will reduce the 66% of physical damage taken. Get a lightning proofing on your robes and you're good for reducing damage. That being said, resilience should be removed altogether allowing knight damage to be balanced

blink.gif No, it's nowhere NEAR 66% reduction. No WAY is it that much.

Oh, and lightning proofing is only 10%, by the way. :/

Bah shiri ya goose

against a non elemental knight, resiliences has its effect on 100% of the damage.

against an elemntal knight who's artifacts allow him to do 66% physical and 33% elemental damage, resilience will have its given affect on 66% of the damage, and the proofing will affect the elemtnal part

Did i explain it properly this time?

Yes. Sorry, misunderstanding. biggrin.gif

Resilience cuts the physical damage by ~25%.

The last thing that needs to be removed to balance knights, is resilience...

The first thing however, is elemental runes.

Ran a bit of a test last night with Terenas. He did a lunge combo to my chest. The total combo did 30 wounds of damage with the added benefit of puncturing my lungs. I make this statement to say that wounding is probably balanced for knight against knight combat, but knight against other combat is a bit out of whack.

*Note: I had all of my defenses and armour on at the time. Stoneskin, Tower Shield 39/39, and Great robes 61/38 were all being worn or cast on myself.

Poor poor Malicia. biggrin.gif

Anyway, as Morik found out after we started sparring, it was not as easy to knock him into higher wounding as when we were testing even though I was lunging at every chance I could. Yes, wounding is extremely rediculous right now against Mages and Guardians and I'm sure it is being looked into. I consider it fair that I'm doing 10 to 13 wounding against knights, and perhaps up to 15, and maybe 17 with lunges against any classes. But 30 against a Mage with all possible defenses up is just really unbalanced.

In regard to elemental runes, they should need some looking into, Daevos is still doing ~900 damage to Thorgal per swing. Against Aajen, I'm barely taking 290 damage from his un-runed flail, but over 700 from his runed one. sad.gif

Don't remind me, Mages there are taking less than 300 damage from 2 swings from a knight with level 3 artifact axes. sick.gif

At least knights here can do some damage against each other, I don't mind taking 1200 to 1500 damage from a knight since it actually makes the fight challenging. But when you're taking no more than 200 damage from 2 swings (unless they're using rapiers) or over 1700 to 1800, it just plain sucks. doh.gif

You blur and slip through time as Malicia approaches you.

With a powerful lunge, Malicia strikes at you with a fullered broadsword of
blue steel. Malicia strikes into your gut, which opens up and pours blood in a
pool at your feet.
A prickly stinging overcomes your body, fading away into numbness.

With a powerful lunge, Malicia strikes at you with a exquisitely crafted

impaled viciously on the blade.
