Funny, the ads I saw made it look like it was going to be a not-crappy Batman movie for a change.

It just looks really tacky to me and Batmans voice has that over-done husky dark heroic twang to it that just makes me want to laugh and vomit all over the movie.

But, we'll see. I still haven't bothered to check it out yet.

Awesome movie. Very well-done. The villains were great, especially that dude from the League - whatever his name was.

The best batman since Tim Burton's original (and in alot of ways better I think) I liked what Christian Bale brought to the character, made him alot more intense. The movie moves sorta slow and Memento-ish at the beginning but once the fun starts it kicks into high gear. The movie actually makes Scarecrow a cool villain which I think is pretty remarkable in itself, seeing as though he is one of the stupidest Batman villains. Also Gary Oldman rules as an early Commisioner Gordon, he acted just the way I would expect a cop like him to act with some guy in a bat costume flying around the city.

This movie was surprisingly good. I didn't know what to expect after being disappointed since the two Tim Burton films "Batman" and "Batman Begins."

But this was really satisfying.

EDIT: And it seems I should read the whole thread first, Fain's got a good idea of it all smile.gif

I've never read the comics, only seen the cartoon series, with Raz al gul... someone care to share if the comics imply his long term role with batman? Is he really a villain?

My favorite bit of the batman begins movie was the last line, when Gordon asks about escalation... it reminds you a bit of the possitive sides of udder cooruption tongue.gif

If you like this movie you should thank Frank Miller, because without his additions in the 80's to the Batman story we would still be stuck with Adam West style goofiness.

Oh yeah here's a link to a bunch of the Batman villains if you are interested.

Oh, interesting... The movie didn't make RAs to be a demon at all...

I thought Ra's was another example of the image being more important than the man... oh well.

I was feeling apprehensive about seeing it but now I'm psyched after hearing everyone's approval!

(and Christian Bale's godliness started long ago in Newsies) wub.gif
