I've managed to not get attacked and Alger even told me I didn't have to run from him, which is good cos we were both afraid I was going to get hunted worse then Vis is.

When a village is free, its obelisk is thinly connected to all nexuses of power but not the Portal of Fate. It's not really conglutation that saves you.

I see the point but I also dont think Rogues should get the benefits of being cityless either, especially if they decide to shrug off every city they go to. Eventually you burn enough bridges you pay for it. Rogue life isnt meant to be easy.

The only reason a rogue would be in a village involved in taking it is if they're trying to actively curry favour to be NOT A ROGUE

Or they just like killing people


If you only lose a small amount of xp, being in that village isn't really a sign of you wanting to help them, especially since you can't actually ever help the side you want to help, you can only hinder the "bad guys."

Yes, if you want to show your true dedication to The Cause, you'll risk losing big XP to help your newly chosen home.

There's a difference between dedication to "The Cause" and losing about 200hp every half an hour(as I drop a level)

Remember that battle last night, where you kept trying to kill/debate me? I walked into that because I was asked to. I suck at fighting, Chade had to give me a macro for debating, and every time I influenced a dwarf, I was -typing- it. Some of us walk into something because they believe in it, or think they can help. Did I whine afterwards? No. Are you complaining because you might have to die for something you want? Yes.

I'm not whining. I don't mind dying, I just think that it's fairly reasonable to let rogues conglutinate to the Portal. Rogues have about a billion disadvantages already, no need to add on another

If the matter was already considered, and it was decided specifically to not allow rogues to conglutinate.. So be it.
