The only way to tone it down from the perspective of serenwilde PLAYERS is to remove any concept of taint, and to completely destory the mythology of Lusternia.
I'll quote it for you then Richter. How can you expect any Serenwilde player to make sincere contribution to this thread with crap like that? That kind of generalisation is not only pointless but can serve no purpose other then to inflame and provoke. It is in its own way a hijack. It is just dressed up a little nicer because it doesn't doesn't feature the typical idiotic internet speachisms.
Richter2005-06-28 21:06:19
I apologize if our viewpoints differ, but I did not believe Daganev was out of line with that comment.
Some people do want the taint removed, and Daganev was saying that it would destroy the mythology of Lusternia. Which, if taint was removed, would happen.

Bring back Viravain..
Ialie2005-06-28 22:04:57
I think Shikari will be damn good for you guys.
Richter2005-06-28 22:08:00
Shikari is really good with us. He interacts with us every day, always asks if we need anything, and has probably been just the most interactive god I've ever seen.
Nyla2005-06-28 22:14:09
But Shikari isnt crazy.... we need crazy and lots of it. Its hard to have a guild full of psychos when the maine psycho isnt around.

I should reactivate my alt there, join Shikaris order and start defiling Hajamins shrines as I originally planned.. Just.. no time right now.. *le sigh*
I think Ethelon wanted some productive ideas on how to stimulate his commune as they gain a foothold in the Basin, growing stronger and producing more numbers. I doubt he'd want to give the Celestians even more of an incentive to mow them down.

I suggest you refer to 'angry Shikari', if you ever get unlucky enough to see it.

I just want my Matron back - so I can rebuild Her Order. Everyone is either leaving for Shikari, or just disappearing.
Richter2005-06-28 22:25:25
Shikari is like a nice, helpful mentor that encourages you to succeed. He told us "you can do it" in various forms for five hours the other night while influencing. Its an interesting contrast to his "preadator" stance.
But yes, it was nice that Viravain was nuts. That, combined with a bloodthirsty killer (which I thought Shikari was going to be) would make for an interesting duo.

Hrm, I think I almost saw it. You almost killed me the other day.
What direction -is- your character going in anyway? You're so nice so far!
Shikari2005-06-28 22:32:25
Shikari, if you talk to him about it, has a big thing going for loyalty. Essentially, if you're loyal to Him, He's loyal to you, and he's had nothing but a good response from Glomdoring so far.
This doesn't detract from what is an innate vicious streak in him - most animals percieved as merciless killers will look after their cubs.
However, anger him, and you're definitely going to regret it, either immediately or at some point down the track.

4) Not sure how many agree with this one, but I think the Archway on ethereal makes raiding MUCH easier than before.

Youd be surprised on what we think about that. Since glomdoring either cant or has no wish to be on the offensive/defensive with faethorn we stand at your archway and you guys can just enter archway a bilion times and NOTHING is gonna stop that since we cant shoot south at you. also with the archway we cant* just sprint south then sprint another direction so at the moment the archway is working on your side

I think Viravain returning would be nice...
Especially since a lot of my roleplay that I've been setting up for Josun involves a twisted perception of reality and a stubborness involved with sticking to what he sees.
Don't get me wrong -- I think Shikari's a really cool God. A lot of His original roleplay was set around learning about Viravain and the Forest... so far, learning about the Forest is going well, but I can only imagine Shikari fleshing out lots more should She return.
Not that I don't like who He is right now, though. Go Shikari!

No after all the praise Shikari was getting I mentioned that even though I am not from Glomdoring I liked him ICLY and OOCLY.
He seems really helpful.. I wasn't aware that I had offended anyone.
Richter2005-06-28 23:07:28
It wasn't me! You'd get a message if I did it. Blame it on us, hrm?
Shikari2005-06-28 23:13:07
It may, actually, have been me. Some weird things going on when I deleted a post of Munsia's that she'd requested be removed.
If so, sorry!
