DRUGGED?! Ha!  Thats a good one.
Honeycombs are in no way drugged they are just perfect little yummy cakes that Lomdomian loves to eat too. If anything I would call it bribe

Honey seems to be a drug to fae... they go all crazy-like for it. tongue.gif

Currently, Fae do not exist in Serenwilde, as they do not exist in Glomdoring... it can be assumed that when Rowena went around killing off fae (real kiling, not just sheding body forms) that Maeve called for all Fae to come back to Faethorn, after all you can't trust the great spirits anymore...  And what makes you think Redcaps arn't fae?  Thats just absurd.
146675

Since day one, there were some Fae in Ethereal Serenwilde. They do exist there. In fact, there are Fae who exist in /Northern/ Serenwilde (water nymph). These little pro-Glomdoring hypotheses have no evidence what-so-ever.

EDIT:

For the record, it seems to work like this:

There seem to be X fae in Ethereal Serenwilde. Any Fae brought into Ethereal Serenwilde will wander back and forth. If these X fae are all slain, then Fae brought into Ethereal Serenwilde will take it up as their home and stop wandering. It makes perfect sense. Albion, the first of Crones, makes it clear that when Fae are brought to Mother Moon, some will opt to stay and become loyal to her. Some will leave. It is their choice. For this very reason, there are not ~10,000 Fae in Ethereal Serenwilde right now.

Has someone ever given you a nice treat to show their kindness? Were you drugged as a result?

I can see it now: The greatest drug lords of all times - grandmothers.
Anumi2005-06-29 18:36:01
Clearly you've never met my grandmother.

I don't usually accept candy from strangers / random people who come out of the woods and want to take me home with them.

Oh really? Let's put it into perspective.

You, Xenthos, are a leprechaun. You are a spirit of Nature given physical form by a group of Wiccans now known as the Moondancers. After being approached by a Moondancer who offers you a tasty treat, he or she speaks to you of Mother Moon and Serenwilde. You, this spirit of Nature, decide to give it a shot. You are taken to an Avatar of the Moon who you seem to like (Luna, for example, has great relations with leprechauns). Luna tickles your fansy and promises to offer you a home in Ethereal Serenwilde, a spendid forest protected by those who value you Nature. She lets you run off into the forest and decide for yourself... damn, that cold hearted bitch and her poisons.

-----

In all seriousness, Butter makes the damn honeycakes and she is a RESIDENT of FAETHORN. What the hell do we have now? Butter is an agent for Mother Moon nestled in Faethorn and poisoning the Fae? I mean seriously, that's just retarded.

I would have to log in to know what your talking about exactly, but its my impression that there are 3 fae that only moon has a connection to and 3 fae that only Night has a connection to, and those fae will exist in thier repsective forests, but all the others are just in Faethorn.

To my understanding, the greater spirits were the creations of Elder Gods. For example, I believe Sister Lake is the creation of Lady Lisaera (or maybe it is Mother Moon, not sure). However, they are entirely different from the Fae. The Fae are the innate, natural spirits of Nature.

Actually the Ethereal Great Spirits were created by the Sixth Circle of Elder Gods (Awakeners) as fae lords. They became Great Spirits as they continued to evolve and nature required them too.

While most of the Sixth Circle tended to help each other with the creation of these greater works, it is Moon that Lisaera was the main creator of, not Lake.

There are still Fae who have opted to take shelter in Ethereal Serenwilde. I mean, Ellindel Treeheart did cure them and keep them from being completely obliterated... surely, the forest she called home isn't that bad of a place.

Do they listen to you WITHOUT the tasty treat? Would they be willing to go to Serenwilde without being stuffed full of honey? As far as I know, no. They like the honeycakes, Butter offers to make them, and then you use the state they get into to drag them to Serenwilde.

It's all about perspectives, Narsrim. wink.gif

Butter, a Fae who is a resident of Faethorn, offers to make honeycakes because the Fae like them. The honeycombs are natural products found in the Faethorn. And yes, the Fae do listen without treats. I've spoken with several pixies (including pixies on Prime in Southern Serenwilde) who have helped me and I have helped them. One even helped us discover the way to empower Nintoba to save the centaur colts locked away in the Magnagora zoo!

EDIT:

Also, the pixies like to travel between Ethereal Faethorn and Southern Serenwilde being all naughty and exploring our forests *smack*
Xenthos2005-06-29 18:51:00
The pixies are a somewhat special case, as they have even switched over to being entirely pro-Serenwilde in the sense that they empower your flame. I'm more asking about the Fae in Faethorn- how many have you brought to Moon's aspects without stuffing them full of honey?

Edit for your edit: They aren't being naughty, they just wanted to explore... and got lost!

I have resurrected (as in brought back from the dead) several shadow bound Fae from Glomdoring who -without- honey, travelled with me to seek the healing embrace of Mother Moon.

Murdering something is often for the greater good. For example, whenever I kill undead dwarves, their spirits thank me for restoring them from undeath when I drop them at the Klangratch shrine, even though it was surely painful to die.

"Praise you, Narsrim! You have cleansed the shadows from my being similar to how your ancestor, Ellindel Treeheart, cleansed us of Taint. Protect us! We need you."

my guess is as good as yours, no?

I'm thinking there is a similar message for resurrected Fae. I guess I'll have to kill more shadow bound Fae to find out.
Daganev2005-06-29 19:05:42
Ok, if the greater spirits are creations from elder gods, than that just further argues for my point.
