Yeah, Jasper and Murphy, both of whom I've interacted with at length, come off as really...great RPists, even if some of the situations have been less than savoury.
Anyways, Etanru is kind of hard to describe...as a Celestian, I always tried to be nice to those who knew me, pitied and tried to help those who weren't merian (i.e, the whole episode with Etanru poisoning Lyren and making her reincarnate into a Merian), liked other merians, hated people who weren't merian but acted like they were worthy of respect ( Aren't I nice?).
As a member of the Glomdoring, I've taken a lot of moaning because I "simply am not cruel enough to my guild" (okay this is a bit of a hijack). Sorry, I have no intention of giving my guild the cold shoulder in the name of RP. We're struggling demographically, and I really want to foster an environment that will keep players coming back. Anyways. Yes. As a member of the Glomdoring and the highest ranking follower of Mother Night, I've tried to pull off a kind of darker version of holier-than-thou, whilst attempting to be friendly to people who were on the verge of quitting the game or the commune, because I really want people to stay. I've (referring to myself as Etanru, not Simon), become a lot more quiet, and pensive... I don't think I've quite picked up on what Jasper has going, which is something I really admire.
Okay, I think I'm rambling now...I'll just...yeah.

She also really dislikes totems, and is quite loud in her disapproval.

Ah, yes. Ran into one of those tonight. Now I know how a rabbit feels when its got an arrow in its forehead.

Jasper plays his part well, I think. Everytime I came in contact, he was a perfect . Which I think is after the "dark shadows" took over him. Wasn't what way before. A bit distant but not mean.
146958
Not mean? How sad. I suppose I must find something to make Jasper cruel and mean.
Xenthos2005-06-30 03:53:33
She means he wasn't mean before, I think.
Unknown2005-06-30 03:56:34
What Xenthos said. I said he wasn't mean before. Now he's a total meanie.

Unknown2005-06-30 03:58:07
Naw. Once you get to know him, he's all nice and chocolatey and gooey and smiley happy rainbow cartwheel dove shiny gold and silver bracelet love strawberry joy glee festivaltasticness!
Xenthos2005-06-30 04:02:17
He hasn't shared any of that with me.

Be thankful.
Azman2005-06-30 04:26:57
Hmm Actually I want my Azman character to be those quiet characters that exists in the background. His core trait is him being nervous -almost all the time- for no apparent reason. Because of this he goes out of his way to be very polite to people so as not to offend but generally keeps to himself. I like to think him as idealistic, his head in the clouds, and often not really seeing the reality of things. He longs to be strong but is himself essentially a coward at heart which he hates himeself for. (Some inner conflict to the character) Those familiar with japanese anime may note my Azman character has been strongly influenced by the charater Shinji of Evengelion fame.
Well I hope I'm doing this character correctly!

Ok, first the Critique...
Richter=Jarlaxle!!! The first time, and every time after that I ever spoke with or heard from Richter, I've always thought of Jarlaxle!
Murphy... I love your RP, you've got it just like you say...
Marina, insane, yes, also oracle, matron of a massive family, lover of all things odd, and awsome wife.
Jasper, knew you when you were in the Moondancers, never knew you after you left... So I dunno...
Azman, you play your character very well if your online very often... Cuz I hardly ever hear from you, though Suhnaye acctually did value the few times he's heard from your character.
Now for Suhnaye...
I started off my character as just a normal forestal, exploring a very new, very scary world, and trying to fit in, keep his head down, and learn from any and all people he could.
From that, he turned into a historian, loving all things to do with history, and taking many of the points in the histories to heart. He loved teaching, and once he found Marina fell deeply in love, and made a family.
After his family had grown, his daughter, Yoninah, was involved in a big issue within the Moondancers and Lisaera which severely infuriated Suhnaye, but as he'd always been extremely calm and collected most times, he always avoided burning bridges, so he refused to let his disgust influence his relations with the guild, which he knew was already no longer the place for him. He left Lisaeras Order which he was a part of for a time, and the first seeds of distrust of Elder gods was placed within him.
The next most influencial experience he had was when Viravain returned to the Basin, she was the first Elder God that Suhnaye had ever fully trusted, and intended to follow her for the rest of his life. Of course, Viravain soon became possesed by Kethuru, and afterwards was completely changed, She'd become just like all the other Elder gods Suhnaye had ever known, and became the reinforcement of his distrust of all Elder gods. Furthermore, he grew to know from the histories that Elder Gods were not infallable, and he began to speak out about such.
It was at this time that he decided he no longer belonged in the Moondancers. The acctual reason for his leaving was something he disagreed with Tuek about, but it had been a long awaited departure. Not long after that, he left Serenwilde itself because he could see the conflict growing between the newly remade Glomdoring and Serenwilde, and had seen many within his family go to Serenwilde and refused to fight against them, or let his loyalty be called to question because of his family.
As a loner he's become much more loving of his family, but also dreams of some day finding a forest home which will know a peace that will last. Of course, he knows in his heart that such a peace is really impossible, as his knowledge of history tells him, which is why he also dreams that this place will be incredibly powerfull in the defence of its own borders.
Basically I just let myself get completely in character and then let my own beliefs, bias', honour, love, and general emotion lead Suhnaye wherever he might go... Not many people interact with Suhnaye beyond his family, so few know him anymore... I wanted him to be kind of a druid/wiseman/sage, with an extremely long fuse, and a powder keg at the end of it if he gets pushed too far... Which has only happened twice now, both times because of his damn kids...

Nokraenom2005-06-30 16:19:31
I won't say much about Nok, simply because I think it'd be more interesting for you to meet him in-game if you want to find out about him. I am interested, though, in what people think about him. He's definately a multi-dimensional personality, so I'm not always quite sure how he comes off in the end.

Well, Deepnight rocks, so you can't be sucking that much.

Thanks! Hoping it will assist me in some future RP, once I finish it.

He was in the Silver Seekers - not the Order.
