Estarra:
What about the new default forum skin? It's an off white.
It's what I'm using right now, because it changes the main forum view to something I'm more comfortable with, but threads themselves are still the black/light grey on white.

Ah, classical case of "oh noes change panic". Ok so I admit, it scared the hell out of me at first too, took me a while to get where the hell I was, but to be honest I like it a lot more than the old design.
Estarra: Unless the font is forced to lower-case, can we get capitalization on the name in the top left thingie of the default skin? It's triggering my OCD o_o

Can the "New" / "No new" posts indicator on the Mother Night theme be changed, possibly to the Lusternia Main options you picked? The folder on it just doesn't do much for me (there's one little lonely page sticking up out of the corner, which is the only difference; the others, and the old skins, had clear colour differences as well).

The unbelievable amount of blankspace is appalling. I have to hike three miles and cross a bridge to find the next post or topic. Lack of information density makes me a displeased panda.
I think one of the biggest problems is that the main info pane is only about half as wide as my screen, plus I can't scaledown the default font size.
I will say that I like how much faster everything runs though.

It's forced and I can't figure out how to change it.

Daereth:
Here's a question. The old one, our profile picture and avatar picture were different. With this one, I can't seem to find my profile picture period nor where to change it from. I am assuming they are now the same thing? Or am I incorrect?
Looks like we only have one now. I always found having two images a bit weird. The odd part though is that the profile one got inherited for both, not the avatar one which was generally seen as more important.
I'd like to echo the eagerness to see the Like This button quotas get charged (or info on how to get them charged). But I guess that's nowhere near as important as dealing with everyone not liking colors and losing emoticons.

So are the old forums gone forever?
Unknown2011-10-10 21:59:14
I would think so. IRE's upgraded all their forums across the board.
Enyalida2011-10-10 22:18:34
I'm generally okay with this change. I just can't figure out how the nil to change the forum skin. It's probably obvious and I'm missing it.
Ssaliss2011-10-10 22:23:03
Look towards the bottom, there's a "Change theme" there. Click, and voila!

No, actually red is one of my least favorite colors!
Explain your signature, madame.

I can't change my profile picture. It just keeps going back to my original photo, no matter how many times I try to upload Don Vito. :(

Things I've noticed (default skin):
-lusternia: age of ascension is displayed as such on the main page, but other places, seems corrected (Lusternia: Age of Ascension). Also, eww default font.
-The vines often cover important information, like the beginnings of post/category titles on the main page, as well as the thread string at the top.
I'm really sorry, Admin. I don't know why IRE keeps forcing you to implement broken things, but it's got to get on your nerves as much as ours.
EDIT: Also, fixed width on a forum is a terrible, terrible terrible idea. I agree, having content on the main page only take up a small, thin portion is just bad design. The Recent Activity box is completely unnecessary. There's probably nothing you can do about it, though, but if you can, I think that's something that needs to be addressed.

I like the Lusternia skin, but I hope to see more

I tried all sorts of things. From some creepy Noolatar to a 25 megabite .gif...

The default skin is something I believe they either customized or took from the skin libraries, the other themes seem to do a better job (variable margins).

The font is kinda blah because helvetica is defined before Arial. It shows just how the MAC is on the rise as I've noticed more and more web designs are optimizing for Mac first, or at least forgetting the PC Majority.

My biggest concern is tracking down all of the threads I had subscribed to before. That and I really liked my forum skin, but the new one you made the default and the mother night one are both very slick.

My thread that I subscribed to followed me to the new forums... Strange that yours didn't.
