What do these afflictions do?

I said damage, not drains health.

Funny thing is I always thought powersink was like Escozul, because of the name and all. biggrin.gif

I generally assume damage means health damage dunno.gif

I thought that addiction made you sip vials (health/mana, mostly) involuntarily, causing you to lose elixir balance at inopportune times, not just take twice as much when you sip it intentionally.

Does anyone know the effects of daydreaming?

That's what I thought too. But it doesn't do that here. I sat with it for a few moments before noticing it when I caught it off a testing-Stagcurse.

Daydreaming knocks off eq periodically.
Sylphas2005-07-03 11:43:48
Periodically meaning quite freaking often.
Shiri2005-07-03 11:55:18
Yeah, like every 2 seconds or so.
Nayl2005-07-03 11:59:22
By periodically, it's on every command, % chance, ala stupidity
Shamarah2005-07-03 12:01:04
Daydreaming is an EXTREMELY frequent knock-off-equilibrium, but the time knocked off is also very short.
Soll2005-07-03 12:04:01
I think I remember it being a 1 sec eq knock-off every 5ish seconds.
Shamarah2005-07-03 12:19:46
Much quicker than that, Soll.
Anumi2005-07-03 15:36:23
Yeah, see when I first saw the Addiction as a Bard affliction in Achaea, I thought you'd randomly sip vials too. But it's just the lame 2-sips-instead-of-1 thing. Looks like it's the same here.

Just out of curiosity, what did impatience do in the other IRE games? They didn't have focus body, did it just stop focus mind, or whatever the trans environment/discipline skill was?

You couldn't CONCENTRATE or FOCUS as far as I remember. It was mainly used as a way to stop people from using FOCUS to get out of a venom lock. You could use it to stack goldenseal afflictions.

How did you get out of anorexia/impatience/asthma/slickness then?
Sylphas2005-07-07 23:14:20
I used Fitness to throw off asthma. Can't remember how others did it.
Anumi2005-07-07 23:34:04
Yeah, in achaea if you get those 4 you need some kind of guild skill to get out. Can't even tap the tree tattoo if you're also paralyzed, otherwise that'd work.
Unknown2005-07-07 23:34:56
Touching a tree tattoo worked, but only once in a while. I was a Cabalist and just used Oneness, unless I had paralysis too.

So it was possible to get superlocked there, if you were thick?
Unknown2005-07-08 00:41:49
It takes at least five afflictions to get anyone with skills completely locked in Achaea. I can get out of most afflictions with tree tattoo and focus.

Here, I use allheale and I could also invoke green. Not everyone has some magical curing ability, though, so it might be nice if allheale worked (perhaps small random chance?) for curing anorexia.
