Having been a Tae'Dae Moondancer, I have to say it's not THAT bad. Your damage is not the best and you will be slow, but as you have already pointed out Tae'dae wiccans are incredibly tanky. I might even go as far as to say THE tankiest... if you consier both their enormous damage resistance and healing abilities.

Pick Alchemy as a tradeskill so you can get the additional healing bonus from the Philosophers Stone eventually and I doubt anyone will be able to damage kill you with anything.

Plus, Shadowdancers get passive effects (fae) which will not be affected by your speed malus, which is handy.

Lomdomian can administer the nightkiss and so far I haven't noticed it being less powerful than when someone with high int does it, though I haven't run in-depth tests on that...

All in all, my personal opinion is that a Wiccan Tae'dae really isn't the worst combination you can pick, if you do it right you can still be good, and, let's not forget, Tae'dae is just a reeeally cool race to roleplay (Don't forget to get yourself added to the Bears' Lair clan (talk to Rabeth or Lomdomian, though he won't be around for the next years...))

Plus, don't forget to ask your friendly local astrologist about benefitting spheres, that may help solve some of your intelligence problems... plus knowledge blessing... I guess, if you really want, you can get a Tae'dae with fairly ok intelligence these days.

But would I really be able to kill someone... I would be extremely tanky, but with no offense, even the least tanky races would be able to tank my damage, and sluff off my afflictions... I'm just afraid I will be so slow I couldn't touch anyone...

It might actually work, because channels don't run off equilibrium, and you'd have a lot of charisma and be quite tanky...

Of course, you'd only be able to kill with your instakill (Heartburst/thathalfegothingy) or Chasm if you're a Geo...

You'll have your fae as offence, you'll have the Night skill as offence... As I said, I think wiccan ain't that bad a choice for a Tae'dae since you have a couple things that won't be affected by your mali.

But aye, Psionics sounds like an interesting skill for Tae'dae as well.
