So this new mage skill... what's it about people! Let the little Guardian know!
It's interesting that there are new skills for both the Guardians and the Mages... I'm interested in seeing the probable new Knight skillset coming up.

Was there an actual event behind this, or was it just "meh, here's a new skillset, and yeah I guess a reason too"?
I was asleep.

Much more important:
Will Druids get something like that too?
(Meh, okay, its late, so excuse my directness. )

When has that EVER happened in Lusternia?
Xenthos2005-07-03 01:25:27
The Mancers were getting a number of afflictions, they had to figure out how to cure them, and this occurred as a result.
Thorgal2005-07-03 01:25:28
All mages were getting continuous afflictions due to mental parasites that came out of the rift together with the gorgogs, putting a hold to the parasites taught the mages psionics.
Elryn2005-07-03 01:25:36
It's in the events post, Shiri.

Psionics turns faeling into one of the tankiest race/class combinations in existance.

And Elfen too then, how ironic.

Mages have got two things they've been asking for: extra resistances and more active effects.
Btw, I love it. I'm seriously considering switching Jack to the Aquamancers, just for the fun I've had on my Geo alt.

Yeah
Acrune2005-07-03 01:34:16
*perk* did I hear tanky? That settles it, I'm switching. I hardly use dreamweaving anyways.
Edit: Figures I'm on vacation NOW, so I have to fight dial-up and java to get on. Maybe I'll just watch this forum before making any rash changes, as I wont get to play with new skills any time soon anyways.

Psionics is... omg amazing. I love it. You have made all my dreams come true!
Elryn2005-07-03 01:44:07
Heh, sounds like it is covering a lot of bases... are there gonna be any Runic or Dreaming mages left?
I think I would switch if I had the choice... it seems to be more akin to what I'd hoped to get from dreamweaving.
Anyone care to break with tradition and post a few tidbits? Just to keep our curiousity satiated?

There have to be, otherwise they're screwed for statues!
Elryn2005-07-03 02:12:37
Oh, and I really really hope Druids get something equally cool. Not... bonding, or trapsetting, or animal husbandry or anything far less cerebral.
Thorgal2005-07-03 02:20:54

Ahem, I believe this has finalized Celest's conversion to the Protoss. En Taro Adun!

And now we know what TwinCrystals and Papaxi egoray are for.
