IRE is developing a portal site (i.e., entry point to showcase its games) and has requested player testimonials. So, if any of you would like to give a testimonial for Lusternia, and would allow us to use your RL name, please post a testimonial! (If you'd rather not post your RL name on the forums, just email the testimonial to me.)

I'd imagine the testimonials would look something like this, "Lusternia has not only provided me hours of entertainment, but has also whitened my teeth and cured my acne! - John Smith of Idaho (a.k.a. Groo the Destroyer)."

Thank you, lovely players!

The only game so far that's managed to keep me from my breakfast for over 6 hours at a time. - Michael Lamar

the BEST IRE mud out there, infact, the best mud out there full-stop. I've spent entire days online, unable to tear myself away from the screen. Ryan Shiels / Dreadlord Murphy

IRE's hallmark is consistent excellence in story, gameplay, and overall immersion, with Lusternia as the best example of those anywhere on the net in my opinion. Lusternia is a mud, a community, an ever-changing experience, it's anything you want it to be, the options are all there for you to decide. Whatever you're looking for, you can find and explore it here...and for anyone who says gaming and fun don't teach life skills, playing IRE is their rebuttal. I went from being a smart loner --- in game and in life --- to being an organization leader in-game, and applying the skills and insights I learned doing that to my workplace and being recognized and promoted for it there. These aren't games...games are novel things you play and then discard once that novelty wears off. These are hobbies, with the same deep and lasting satifisfaction that word connotes. Arthur Kaul.

The most advanced game mechanics I have ever seen. Its somehow managed to make itself more addictive than Evercrack. ~ Sarah S. | Akraasiel Tliwx

I still remember the first day I found one of Iron Realm's games. I was logged on for thirteen hours straight. Nowhere else have I found the same mix of community and competition, the same balance between ease of play and depth of mechanics, the same line between admin involvement and player control. All of these are masterfully blended, time and time again, into a wonderful, vibrant, living world. IRE does not create static backdrops for powergaming. These places are as dynamic as the world you were born into.

Take your pick!

Lusternia is the most innovative, unusual MUD out there: from its constantly shifting balance of political power to the almost entirely player-run economy, it is simply unparalleled.

More addictive than crack, but better for your brain!

What do I like best about Lusternia? The constant enhancements, the great roleplay background, the dynamic balance of power, the diverse skill choices... I can't decide!

Before I found Lusternia I didn't have a job, I spent all my money on alcohol and drugs, my parents had disowned me and...

Hmm no that doesn't sound right. I'll get back to you tongue.gif.

Extremely dynamic and emotional. You laugh with your character, you cry with your character. You heart races along with your character. You become your character. I have never been apart of MUD that has seemed so real.

I was one of the first testers for Lusternia in the alpha stages of development, I saw the attention to detail and craftmanship that went into this game, and over a year later I'm still addicted and still playing. This game is truly addictive, has an amazingly detailed history with more information revealed as the game develops, a broad range of friendly and useful skills and amazing admin both in an RP and personal sense, that I'm happy I know even if the interaction now only stems as far as Player/Admin. - Michael Smith/Chade d'Illici, the Thief of Thrones

I've been roleplaying on and off for years but Lusternia is the first setting that has kept me coming back over the long term. I don't know if it's the dynamics in the economy and power struggles, the depth and richness of the history we are given, the mechanics coded into the system or some X factor that keeps me addicted, but I'm still here - Gavin Thomas/Laneth, Elfen of the Ether.

Once apon a time, back in the day, when I played PK muds just to grief people, I used to laugh at those stupid RP'ers, but then joint worlds came along, where they combined the two well enough for me to put up with it. Lusternia's the first MU* that I've found where it combines the two in such an unambigous(sp?) way, that your forced to do both, however little you might like it, and you'll find that you actually love it. Matt Chard / Nayl D'Iasani-Treeripper

Lusternia offers the whole package, dynamic roleplay, player run economies and politics and none stop competition. If you're looking for a MUD that delivers and always has something to do then look no further.

In the last six months, Lusternia has reduced the slave labour it employs from developing countries by 15%! What other MUD offers such environmental and moral improvement? Take that G8! - George W. Bush/Lisaera, the Ethereal Maiden

I have tried many times (at least 8) to quit Lusternia, involving things like changing my character's password to something so convoluted. Every 8 times, my plans were crushed by the pure addiction that Lusternia has added to me. An excellent playerbase, active administrators with clever events, and a MUD that's even more innovative than the other IRE ones of its type. It's like crack, except better for you.

I've found that Lusternia far surpasses any expectations I had previously held for this long-awaited IRE game. Whether you're just getting into text-based games, or you're a veteran of many years, Lusternia feels tailor-made for you. The immersion is nearly complete as players and administrators alike strive to maintain the best possible gaming and roleplaying environment, and it is an experience like none other.

Whether you wish to roleplay with your friends, build your own empire, or simply explore the rich world that is Lusternia, you'll be supported by your fellow players, and the staff that never seems to sleep.
