So I've heard. happy.gif You guys sure do seem to keep busy, a pity you can't work on things, so that my bribe would be worthwhile. biggrin.gif
Shryke2005-07-07 19:54:48
Thats why you bribe estarra...!
Richter2005-07-07 20:09:18
I do, $40-$100 every month or to. It doesn't work. happy.gif
Richter2005-07-07 22:26:06
Do we ever get new common skillsets, in addition to more specializations?
Unknown2005-07-07 23:21:26
What could the new common skillsets be?
I think there's enough of them already... it's already expensive to trans even the most important ones. sleep.gif

The best bribe in my case would be a new graphics card...

Wow. Take the money and stash it away for Xbox 360!
Aleron2005-07-08 02:10:33
Will there will be some sort of common performance skillset in the probably very distant future?... When I check my lessonpool it shows up.. (the reason i thought it'll be common, is because there would have to be a parent skill before there would be a guildskill down the line tongue.gif) that is.. if I understand how the skills work here.

I need a BFG 6800 while you're buying.

*is currently stashing*

I think druids will get the next skillset, because of the druids being similar to mages, and the mages got psionics recently. Although I'd rather see warriors get the next new skillset, because, frankly, I want to get the crap beaten out of me by something other then flails crushing my weak and feeble merian body. doh.gif
Unknown2005-07-08 03:53:11
Well, I personally hope its a Druid skill. possibly a skill thats a little more offensive.

I would like new skill for warrior, but if Druids will get it, i would like to see voodo skills. It could be cool to see some shamans in woods.
Unknown2005-07-08 21:06:17
If it were a warrior skill, maybe a skill like Imperian's Wardancers have where they can link skills. That be interesting.

Something I've always thought would be an intriguing idea (and I think someone suggested on the MSN forums way back when) was having actually curses. Not just the instant hexes/curses/evileye "Poof I give you an affliction" type curse, but the more traditional "The witch ruined my potatoes" type curse. Something longer lasting and not instantly cureable, but with the effects not a potent.

I was thinking something similar to the Necromancy skill in Aetolia that killed someone after 24 hours of playing time, with afflictions and extra XP loss if they died to it, and it had to be cured with a quest.

I'm sure exactly how it would work, but we have the best admin in all of IRE so I'm sure they could come up with something creative. If it was cured with a skillset then it wouldn't stick because everyone could just pay someone to remove it. If there were quests (besides the extra effort of designing them) people would just publish how to do them and cure them instantly.

Actually, karmic cursing is probably the best implementation of this. It was mainly a suggestion for voodoo that didn't require dolls. I'll post it anyway incase is inspires creativity in someone else.

I think hexes are implementation of curse-like skillset. I mean the raw concept, not how it actually works.
Terenas2005-07-10 03:14:56
I believe Guardians with Astrology can give long-term negative buffs. That's pretty close to long term hexes.
Thorgal2005-07-12 15:29:47
As for new skills, let's just all pray it won't be Bowmastery. We're in for some seriously lame situations then, I hope warriors get specializations in polearms or axes, or athletics.
Daevos2005-07-12 15:47:57
Polearms would be nice, I would actually be tempted to switch for them.
Bau2005-07-12 16:18:22
Bowmanship was nice, I'm the only active woman on Imperian with the skill wink.gif

New skills? Let them work on everything else, I'm sure the list is backed up as it is.

Edit: Yeah, I'm back. Now, back to work on getting trans.
