Is it just me, or are the villages taking an awfully long time to revolt? Was there a change to the formula or something?

Eh? I think it's just you. I'm not sure they're supposed to revolt yet.
Shamarah2005-07-12 01:09:24
But Delport revolted, and it's been nearly a week and Stewartsville hasn't revolted yet.
I dunno, just seems weird and slow to me.

possibly variation in government types.
Joli2005-07-12 01:37:24
They need to stop revolting at 3 in the morning for the love of god!?
Unknown2005-07-12 01:39:50
I guess 3 in the morning depends on where you live.
Daganev2005-07-12 01:40:42
don't you know... its ALWAYS 3 in the morning, Joli doesn't want the villages to revolt ever J/K
Galatae2005-07-12 01:41:20
4 in the morning for me, Joli.
Gwylifar2005-07-12 01:57:16
Stewartsville won't be in time with Delport because Serenwilde is not despotic (for RP purposes, even though it costs us power nasty bad), so we hold onto villages longer than everyone else. Last I heard, everyone else went for the double power of being despotic.
Stangmar2005-07-12 02:13:38
Celest went benign again.
Drathys2005-07-12 03:18:29
Dunno, some villages are just plain revolting... *drumroll*

I actually hope it was lengthened slightly. As the number of villages in the basin go up, if the formula remains the same, we'll be working on them more and more frequently. I like influencing, but I'm glad I'm not logging in to do only that.
Estarra2005-07-12 04:30:58
A city or commune could theoretically hold a village up to a game year (or maybe even longer), depending on several factors (including government style, government type, how well they've protected denizens, etc.).
It's always been like this!

Rhysus2005-07-12 05:32:51
Most seem to last much longer than a single game year. Even when we were Despotic we held for over a year.
Shryke2005-07-12 06:31:56
Thats probly because you defended the denizens well
Shiri2005-07-12 06:35:01
What, even Southgard? Hardly. There's just less reason to kill anything that isn't a dwarf.

Gods, yes!
Its so much fun when it's like 4 Mags, 3 Glomdoritos, and 6 seren/celest around at 3am EST and a village goes up.
Everyone fights and like 2 people influence so it takes a LONG time for it to turn over...usually revolving around who has their big fighters showing up first.
Stangmar2005-07-14 15:39:54
i hate when there's like 1 mag and 10 serens.

When the hell does that every happen? The 1 Magnagoran just calls up about 8 more over AIM and they wake up and win the village.
Murphy2005-07-15 01:33:09
dedicated playerbase, i've had people wake m up on aim by spamming the chat window, and I got up and helped with crow....
