Our daily peak of simultaneously on-line people usually hovers around 100, a little below or a little above. 81 to 113 would be the extremes.

Really? I've never seen that many. Damn my Australian-ness with our future timezones.

QW will also not show you people who are off plane.

I was using the site-based statistics, by the way.

I was basing my numbers from the little line you get when you log in telling you how many are online. The most I've ever seen it say is about 83 and the least is in the low 30s.

Well I was close. The number have gone up a little recently, at least from what I can see.
Unknown2005-07-19 00:43:09
Current
Lusternia: 88
Imperian: 105
Using website for that.
Also, the logic in saying a playerbase is too small based on people online is faulty. Not everyone is on 24 hours. Sure you divide your current 100 online by 4 and you get 25 for each city/commune, but is that really all of the people there are in a 24 hour period?
I think Lusternia could function just as well as Imperian does with 6 organizations.

The only problem with that, is Glom is around 12-5 people, we may have a large enough player base, but the balance between the organization is far from balanced.
Unknown2005-07-19 12:46:28
Eh, I know more than a few Gaudi people who went to Glom just to be away from everywhere else and try something new while they waited. Glom would stand to lose a higher percentage of its people than others orgs would when the cities return. I'm REALLY eager to see them as well, Fire and Air have always been my two preferred elements over Water and Earth, as well as being excited as to what guardians will be like.
I still have no problems with waiting however, I want the game to be fully ready for the return of the cities. Lusternia I find has no problem with holding back on a project until it's ready to go, something that I applaud the administration for.

People are complaining about an excess of conflict and PK and what not and you want two more cities who will be at the very least at each other throats, not to say directly changing the balance or pseudo balance the other cities and communes are in now?
I guess it would be better if they were a long while away from coming, but I must admit they might be a good reason to come back at the game... Roasting your enemies and the like, making aquamancer demesnes boil... And I definitly am curious about the design of the Hallifax city, if Estarra says they built a beautiful city in the air I want to look at that area

I strongly disagree, and if you wish to base it off Imperian, I believe they have failed with 6 orgs. If you join their few main ones, then you are fine, but I have made a few forestals over there and seen no one many times when I logged on. As a novice, I ended up waiting like 3 1/2 years before I finally saw a guild secretary online. The number of orgs have spread the population there out WAY too far, and in the end (in my opinion), there seems to be little unity there.
We've already had the mass exodus from various cities here to the Glomdoring, and it would be a shame to have to deal with all that again when two more orgs open. Wait a bit, build the playerbase up, let the cities get more accustomed to each other...then we can BEGIN to talk about more orgs.
I think Glom needs lots of time to build up, and it wouldn't be fair to them either to just toss in two more.
Unknown2005-07-19 22:28:55
As much as I'd want the two cities opened, I agree that playerbase is too small and it could be disastrous at the moment. We lack active players
I wonder, on the other hand, if Hallifax and Gaudiguch could attract new people to the realm. Probably not enough to quickly fill all the guilds in a reasonable amount of time after their opening.
And it's for administration to worry about anyway.
