The body of Nemora appears in a flash and his soul descends to fill it, causing
the previously expressionless face to fill with emotion.

Nemora's knuckles grow momentarily white as he strengthens his grip.

Nemora brings the forging hammer down on an exquisitely crafted draconic
broadsword and gasps as it is destroyed.

This is the second time someone has logged back on and started forging while I was forging and destroyed my item. There was nothing I could have done to prevent this, not to mention that any newbie or novice with forging could walk in anytime when I am forging and destroy whatever I was working on.

Please please fix this. I do not want to take gold or compensations from other people, especially if they were destroyed by a newbie that had no clue you can do that, or have any gold to pay me back.

oh yeah... Either make cooperative forging an option in certain circumstances, or make it impossible for one person to use the forge command when they didn't start the forging...

this killing other peoples recournces is just stupid.

Thats lame.
I vote change it.

I agree, and I'm not a smith. This would suck if someone decided to give someone else grief by destroying a weapon, ranking up there with dilute or whatever other skills. Ideas section?

forge

The forge is in use right now, and cannot be used until the smith has stopped working on it.

You peer at Daganev.

I second that wholeheartedly.

As it is, forging already is the most time-consuming, annoying, worst-paying trade, stuff like that really turns it into a nuisance. Pretty much the only reason why I stick with forging so far is that I like the idea of creating warrior equipment, other than that, I think any of the trades that work off designs are far superior. Please please at least prevent the possibility of newbie XY walking in without a clue and destroying 15k worth of commodities.

And if you don't make that change, at least put the forges in the warrior guildhalls, since they are the only ones in the city/commune who can forge anyway.

What would be the reason? Why do you want it in your guildhall?

Oh, and yeah, it's awful that it can be so easily destroyed. There is some logic behind that but it's just unnecessary.
Richter2005-07-19 21:58:15
Just use my idea. *poke divine* tongue.gif

Just make it so that when someone destroys someone else's forging, it explodes into many shards that kill the destroyer. Mwahah.

silimaur2005-07-20 11:10:23
it seems a bit unfair, especially as wouldnt you be standing in the way so they couldnt forge on top of you?
Arundel2005-07-20 17:45:30
Hmm, I can imagine two smiths fighting over a forge by constantly destroying the other's work and replacing it with their own.
Richter2005-07-20 18:10:21
That would be preeeetty costly.
Arundel2005-07-20 23:15:54
Yes, entire cities could probably be built from the commodities used up.
Marcalo2005-07-21 01:34:52
thats happened to me a few times in the past also, i think somthing needs to be done definitly.
