Um, Farsight tells you the general area the person is in, whereas Scry tells you the room they're on, as well as work when on an adjacent plane. When I was a monk I always used Farsight and Mindsense to determine the area and location of someone. Make Farsight an enchantment or something, I just want to have it. smile.gif

Farsight told you their location if they were in the same area. It's like a half-assed version of scry. In all cases, I'd rather have Scry.

A way to enhance sparkleberries so they regenerate a bit of willpower/endurance, too?

no no hypersight was the utility spell for discernment...then lifevision can go in necro like in achaea! It really is a headache trying to chase all these shrouded people. They move and you're like umm okay which way did they go... who... if they got a gem its more like... start moving around aimlessly... well or scry but if they're running and you have to stop to use eq guess whos getting away:\\

Actually, it'd be interesting if when someone has faerie fire or stench, you can see movement... faerie fire gives their name (because you can see them!), and if they have a ghastly stench you see "Your nose wrinkes involuntarily as a rank odor invades your senses, coming from the *direction*," or "The stench permeating the area is relieved, wafting off towards the *direction*." A little more use for various things that do that.

I suggest something like pacing from achaea. Basically, I think if you have either sprinting or gallop (and are mounted in gallop's case) and you are following someone with either of these skills, you should be able to (passively) follow them with the appropriate skill. Make it high ranked, I don't care. I want to see troups of mounted people galloping along together, and regimented hordes of sprinting Ur'Guard!

TELEPORT FULCRUX (3 power)
If you are in a manse, teleport to the fulcrux point of the manse. Useful if you get locked out!

Unfortunately, pacing is in Stag... so it may not be something the rest of us get. :/

That'd be pretty neat, actually, as well as provide an advantage to the forestals, since the cities have the shrouding advantage in the first place.
Sylphas2005-07-22 01:21:41
As far as I know, faerie fire already DOES cancel shroud. If it didn't, it'd be worthless.

Let TELEPORT NEXUS work on non-prime, and have you teleport to your nexus on that plane instead! (If you want, you could make it not work on Astral if astrosphere movement is meant to hinder your returning to the nexus.)
Sylphas2005-07-22 01:50:55
Even if that only worked on the plane you were attuned to (yeah, it would screw warriors, but maybe extend it to a certain plane for each commune/city?) that would be awesome, and would avoid the astral problem.
Gwylifar2005-07-22 02:19:29
You could unscrew warriors by making them work on Prime... and no one else. tongue.gif

Farsight tells you the general area someone is in, if it's not yours.. and unless you memorized every room of Lusternia, it's extremely helpful.

I want farsight. sad.gif

I know Night only works during the Night, but its available to just about anyone... shroud requires a bit of investment, and the lack fo desire to harvest herbs or poisions.

blink.gif You lost me there. Remember that guardians and mages have to take highmagic too. (And, uh, ALL warriors can take high or low. :/)
Daganev2005-07-22 09:56:15
yes, well Night is the second skill in totems, while its like the 4th or 5th in Highmagic, which is close to Adept or Master, I think.
Shiri2005-07-22 10:08:48
I get Yesod in 30 lessons when I play an alt. (Uh, I think. I never remember going higher than that.)
Unknown2005-07-22 15:35:05
Yesod is the third skill in highmagic.

Nights not reliable, and camouflage only works outdoor natural.
Unknown2005-07-22 23:06:28
Faeriefire DOES remove shrouding temporarily, for about 90 seconds, but is cured by focus spirit. It's just like the Daeg rune, I used to often open with Faeriefire when attacking someone I knew would flee.
