A spell that dispells Yesod and Invisibility. It's really annoying having to walk around invisible all the time simply because there is no way to dispell Yesod. Of course, the spell would only work on yourself. Perhaps changing Yesod to EVOKE YESOD ? Invisibility can be dispelled, Night can be released, Camouflage can be turned off, but Yesod can't, and it's annoying being invisible all the time. Not to mention that since everyone with Yesod has an excuse to be invisible all the time, it makes me paranoid. unsure.gif

A way to switch on/off the ability to send tells by, say "gwy gwy." (Which currently would send a tell to Gwylifar containing the text "Gwy." but if turned off, would just say "I am sorry, I don't know what you mean." Cuts down on sending random mistells by accident!
Terenas2005-07-23 22:24:04
Actually, there is a command available to negate shroud. Try VISIBLE. It will say you are already visible, but it doesn't really do anything.

Aetolia has that: it's CONFIG NAMETELL. Options are ON (which is as it is now), OFF (you always have to use TELL), and FULL (you can do "Xenthos Hi, how are you?" but not "Xen Hi, how are you?"). This cut my mistells by a factor of ten even though the default setting on existing characters was ON (I think the default on new ones was FULL though, but not sure).

Actually, having ways to negate most annoying defs would be good. Such a way of getting rid of Malkuth/Cloak when you want to be summoned. Having to smoke coltsfoot to get rid of insomnia is also annoying, since insomnia is not a real affliction.

Sporelist in Discernment (or Wicca)! *begs*

On a similar note, WORN - shows the clothing you are wearing and how many months each has left and if they are proofed/enchanted. Or many a clotheslist (not to be confused with a clothesline).
Sylphas2005-07-24 18:19:19
Yes, a list for jewelry and clothing would be awesome. Magiclist sort of gets jewelry, but doesn't tell you decay and only works if you throw an enchantment on every piece you have.

Farsight...and..

..farsight, and also:

..farsight, let's not forget about farsight either.

So yeah, farsight.

As far as farsight goes, it would be easier/better in my opinion to just add to scry and window the line saying what area they are in as well as the roomname.

exa. You sense that Kayde is at The Centre of the Necropolis in Magnagora. or
You sense that Kayde is at Under a Dark Root in Glomdoring Forest.

That would be the same as farsight, and just make more sense for the spells that already exist and are availible as enchantments to all.

There is already a command in config to fix this. it's called FULLNAME ON/OFF.
if you have it on, you have to type out the person's full name to send them a tell, thus making the mistells less.

Could just add to Magiclist the decayrate. I've been wanting that too. Having a clothing/armour one would be nice too though.

You turn fullname ON
You will now show your family name.

This toggle determines whether to show your fullname if you are in a family.

Fullname is currently ON.

Usage:
CONFIG FULLNAME ON|OFF

etan Hmm

You tell The Venerable King Etanru, Of the Night Coven, "Hmm."

Doesn't work!

Edit: ninja.gif He also didn't much appreciate the random Hmm from nowhere. ninja.gif

Oh, this is a subset of one of my first ever suggestions on this board, a version of II that shows months left the way PL does. Or at very least an alternative to PROBE that shows only the item number, appearance, and months left, all on a single line.

That determines whether your own family name is shown in tells, honors, etc. If it is off, my base title is Elryn. If it is on, my base title is Elryn Greythane. I'm not sure how you confused that with something to do with tells.

Maybe Kayde also played in Aetolia and is thinking of CONFIG NAMETELL.

Estarra's a what now?

I'd love to see a trigger magic mouth, akin to what it really does in D&D, rather than what we have now, which is a bit annoying. You could use permissions to determine when it goes off. THAT would be a lot more useful than the current one.

What about a utility spell that allows a multi-tell to all of your allies. Sure, you have clans, cities, guilds, etc, but what if you just wanted to talk to your allies. It might also help cut down on all that IM stuff that goes on elsewhere.

I'd love to see more options in planar, or maybe a superset of planar skills. For instance, some of the following:

Banish --> Sends the victim to an adjacent plane, or teleports them to another area on the same plane. I wonder if this could work on mobiles too--watch out for steel goats on the prime! (Or maybe not).

Dismiss --> If you have high abilities in Planar, it would be cool to have a chance to dispel angels, devils, or fae. (But this would never work on the creatures home plane).

Maze --> Like the D&D spell, creates an extradimensional maze the users has to get out of. Not sure how you could pull this off, but if you did it would be cool. Maybe keep somebody in a maze of time, disallowing them any actions other than an attempt to escape (expending Willpower), while the other guy prepares and regenerates.

Super-Teleport or Super Summon --> Takes 10 power but breaks thru monoliths and is instantanious.

Pocket Dimension --> Create a short-lived bolt hole where you can refresh yourself for maybe 1 real-time minute.

I'm also wondering if there could be something akin to contingency where a few spells automatically go off when something is triggered. I know with zMud and other clients this can be done automatically, but maybe something special that allows 2-3 effects to go off at once.

Too much D&D!

I've heard there was something similar in Aetolia. The person was dropped into an area filled with tough aggro mobs or something like that. I've also heard some people were able to survive it and get out, though it was supposed to be deadly.

Entire armies teleporting through monoliths all the time in times of conflict?
