Once Magnagora takes Acknor away from Celest, they will have no villages again!!
Shiri2005-07-20 12:32:49
We work pretty well in a team. Narsrim coordinated us in Southgard, but in Paavik I noticed plenty of commands and requests coming out over both CT and SEG, and finished as many of them as I could. In the end we won out of sheer force of numbers, I suspect, but that doesn't detract from our organisation, which was working just fine. Narsrim coordinating the wisp trap he'd set up, etc.

I love influencing! This is going to sound sarcastic, but I really did have a ton of fun with this.

I show up...log on...two seconds later

Revan tells me to go help Ix try and taint SG.

I show up...Narsrim kills me.

I get rezzed, and two seconds later...Daevos tells you, "Come to me".

A minute later...Narsrim kills me.

I get rezzed, def up, port to SG. Someone asks, "Can you come back and help me"

Another minute later...Narsrim kills me.

I gave up and just served as a Sanc target! I die more than most in my city and still LOVE influencing.

I actually doubt they'll be able to. Celest has to fight hard now, it's their only village.

I dunno, its a tainted village and Mag was pretty damn pissed to lose it in the first place.

That village and Estelbar are going to be bloodbaths. Can't wait.

It's Celest's last village, and they'll fight harder now that they've proven they can show them the error of their ways. They've gotten them to give up slavery, for one.

Serenwilde will probably fight harder for it, too. So they can get Estelbar.

And Mag and the Glom are just gonna give up? Everyone is fighting harder these days, and I expect no less from any city.

They gave up slavery, but once we get it back...bring on the slaves!

I'm not paticularly the happiest about this giving up of slavery. The orc chieftan did it for being put in power, not out of the goodness of his own heart. A novice could sway thoughts in that village. I don't like it.

Of course you don't. But, if it means converting one more village from the Taint, irrelevant of the reasons and/or methods, so be it. Why waste the time smashing and destroying if it doesn't have to be? Repair before destruction. Giving life is so much better than taking it, IMHO.

But taking it still feels really, really good.

If you think that's permanent, you are insane.

I guarantee they will be flowing back towards slavery when it gets retaken by either Glomdoring or Magnagora.

But you've given me a quest now, time to start working on the goodie villages under our control. Bring on the slavery for all villages.

What makes you think we can free them from being Tainted?
Galatae2005-07-20 13:01:59
Honestly, I love influencing, too, even when I wind up dying more than most other people. At least I'm, y'know, serving as a distraction. Brings funny images to mind, all these people piling up on top of a butterfly... biggrin.gif

But I don't love villages enough to go and die tons in Paavik, and just moments later BAM Southgard's up... I like them more when they don't decide to pop up one right after the other.

BAHHH that damn wisp trap was really well set up, and unescapable, i maintain no summon should work through monoliths, demense or not!!

Loicked room with 10 people, magelocked door and a damn eye sigil. I just heartstopped twice so no random novice would get the kill on me, bastards!!

What makes you think you can't? You've obviously made head-way. There isn't slavery. Celest's goal is to remove the Taint from the Basin - through peaceful means, or violent ones if necessary. We both know this won't happen. But it's worth, you know, following your RP. And I know you do. We all know a futile fight when we see one - but our characters fight them anyway, because it's who they are.

...wisps do not go through monoliths!

No, we made no headway. Some fools promised one loser orc power of a dictatorship over his own if he gave up slavery. If we made headway, he'd have been like, "Oh, wow, we've been wrong all this time. I'll end this now" But he didn't. Follow my RP? I was told IG by a God that the orc could not be untainted by any means, and should any means really exist they'd probably die in the process. Then after confronting Hajamin with this information, he conceded the points but went to move to the fact that it might be possible IF we can raise every Orclach mortal to demigod and they all -want- the orc to be untainted (poke Murphy) . So, I'll tell you what. I'll tell YOU what MY RP is, and you will not tell me to FOLLOW MY RP that you obviously lack knowledge of.

I mean while the caster is standing on a damn monolith, so i can have half a chance at escaping a wisp trap

besides, orclach don't like the orcs, so i'll have them untainted for shizzle!!!

(yes i'm drunk)

Untaint Orcs? blink.gif

That's the same as saying you should untaint Viscanti, you can't, they're a new race. They came about because of the taint, it evolved them into a new race, what they are now is just a new race. How they came about doesn't really matter. And trying to change them back, or "untaint" them as everyone is screaming, is nore more possible then "untainting" Merians.
