I think he does mean decade, and he's referring there to a war in another game. I was part of one that was just over a decade in Aetolia. Pure misery.

Yeah man, that sucked.
Shryke2005-07-21 00:05:34
hmm, why not just have villages revolt on random weekends?
Syrienne2005-07-21 00:09:37
I've been in some wars in games that lasted over a RL year, those can be insane. I was in a war in UO during Alpha that had to be postpooned while it went from Alpha to Beta and the soon as UO Beta came up WAR IS BACK ON! hehe and we won cause we outleveled them and smashed them into the ground.
That my friends is a war:D hehe

I've gotten a chance to influence once in the last 5 revolts just like a lot of people. It's annoying since that's pretty much all that I enjoy doing these days since Astral is still pretty much un-basheable and everywhere else is usually cleared up.
I just rather wished villages didn't work on a revolting system, but on a treaty system with an organization. Where the city is only allowed to choose once the government style for that village, and the village will sign a treaty with the city for x number of days before they will be up for grab again. At least it would be possible to get some planning done, instead of half the time there is barely any of us on to do anything.
PS- I turn off my AIM, Mali. No IM me while I'm getting my beauty sleep!

Arg! I SOO wanted to fight in Paavik. But then Narsrim and company summoned me, and I died, and due to my client sucking it quit on me, and so yeah. That was the end of Paavik for me. And then I missed Acknor. Oh well, there's always next village.

Hellllll no. I could see the problems with that already...3 seconds after the village goes up, every important room would be sancted for the controlling city. You already start with an advantage if you are smart enough to keep a demesne active in the city with someone logged on at all times, but that is a bit MUCH of an advantage.

Isn't... That how it is already?
Gwylifar2005-07-22 14:34:14
Nope. Right now, 3 seconds after, every important room is sanced for Devris's city. He likes it better that way.
