Gwylifar's first two kits are going to be 16 late in August. I have a player for one of them. The other one is a male, a quiet type with an affinity for trees, quite likely to end up a Hartstone herbalist unless we play some changes between now and then to set up something else. I'd like a good player who really wants that role and who can convince me they'll stick with it and be true to his history.

I think I'm 51 right now, so I'd prefer kids to be about 38. Grandkids would be closer to 25.

Just want to say that while I respect the fact people want specific people for their children. For those same people to turn around in another thread and say Great House requirements are to hard is mind boggling. If you want to selectively reproduce through the forums great, but don't expect your family to grow faster than your criteria demands.

On the other hand actually meeting people and taking the chance and adopting them does a few things. Your family will grow, you may meet some very nice people, you may adopt someone who isn't very good at rp but could be in the right role model conditions, you may even end up with a total idiot in your family. Guess what, families are like that though.

I'm not trying to make a family, let alone a great house. I'm just playing out a life. 13 game-years ago kits were born, so in a few more game-years they can go to the Portals if they like, and I'm looking to let that play out just because that's what happens next, that's all. I'm not adopting because my character has no reason to adopt, not because I'm against adoption or anything. Sheesh, do I really have to be defensive about the idea of getting children by having a spouse and engaging in you-know-what and then waiting 16 years while I raise 'em? How cutting-edge of me!

(Incidentally, my Aetolian character was barren, and thus eventually did adopt. Stole an orphan out of Ashtan to raise -- someone possessed the orphan and we had a heck of a lot of fun with that bit of roleplay. Eventually found a player to take her over.)

Heh, this is what I"m doing, too. At first I wanted a great house, now I'd just be happy with a family. I'm still very disappointed that Raevyn didn't have the heart to stay after she got so hurt (wish people didn't get quite so involved so that it hurts when relationships break up). I miss her a lot and wish she'd find the heart to return... anyway, I'm rambling.

I have one child now, who has reached her teenage years and is quite untamed (I have let the pixies and sprites raise her mostly, I'm afraid). I wanted lots of babies, though. I've started considering kidnapping males to get more babies.
